  • 39: Santa Buddies: The Legend of Santa Paws

    This week on Sucktastic, Christmas Spirit is in the toilet, and a North pole puppy swears off his birthright. Puppy Paws makes his way to Fernfield, Washington to learn what it means to be a normal dog, and he encounters the titular Buddies. While this is going on, Christmas is on the brink of extinction, and there is a subplot about a sick boy wanting a dog for Christmas. After screwing up the Buddies lives, Puppy Paws is picked up by the town dog catcher. While in the clink, Puppy Paws learns from a homeless dog that Christmas spirit is all some people and dogs hope for, and it's up to him to take on his responsibilities and save Christmas. After an escape, Puppy Paws enlists the help of the Buddies to help him bring back some magic, and save Christmas!

    This week on Sucktastic, we kick off our Christmas themed episodes with a bonkers tale! A cold, callous, career driven Boston attorney finds herself in charge of the sale of an old country Inn. However, that's not all she finds! She finds out about the building's tragic past, some shady secrets...oh, and she ends up falling in love with the ghost that haunts the place. You read that right; she FALLS IN LOVE WITH A GHOST. She becomes smitten with a 130 year old troubled spirit, and the two start what is sure to be a severly problematic relationship!

    Our sister Samantha Kennedy brought this film to us, and she joins us at the table to talk The Spirit of Christmas, this week on Sucktastic Cinema!

  • 37: Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over

    This week on Sucktastic, Junie Cortez has been spurned by his spy employer of the last two films. While trying to make it on his own as a P.I., Junie is told by his former outfit that a mad-man has created a hot new virtual game. He intends to trap the minds of children who play it, as well as release himself from a virtual prison to wreak havok on the world. Junie tells them to shove it, but when he is told his sister is trapped in the game, it's back to spy action for everyone's least favortie cry baby. With the help of a few fellow players, the wisdom of his wheel-chair bound granfather, and a whole lot of family, can the Cortezs defeat their greatest foe yet?!

    It's the grand finale of a child-hood trilogy...until the 4th one came out. It's Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, this week on Sucktastic Cinema!

    This week on Sucktastic, a magic mirror informs a powerful Warlock that his days as the best in the biz are numbered. There's a little girl named Wendy who is going to steal his crown, and there isn't anything he can do about it. After sending two goons to capture Wendy, she and her aunts escape and hideout at a summer resort. Little do they know, their most hated enemies, ghosts, are vacationing in the same area!

    However, these aren't your garden variety ghosts. No, it's the famed ghostly trio and their lowly nephew, the titular Casper. Casper and Wendy have a chance meeting, and become fast friends. Can the besties help their families get over the differences they have with one another? Can they end centuries of quarreling? Will Wendy get captured by the Warlock?
