The unofficial start to summer happened over Memorial Day weekend, and it's already off to a deadly start. Several fatal crashes occurred on Utah's roads, leading to a grim start for the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer. In this special hour of Inside Sources, Greg and Holly discuss the ways in which we can all work together to keep Utah's roads safe. They're joined first by Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden, who provides updates on the Memorial Day weekend crashes and shares general safety tips for the highways. 

UDOT's John Gleason then joins the conversation to discuss work zone safety. The coverage takes a more emotional turn with Chuck Groat, a local Utahn who lost his son to speeding in 2020; he shares his message to all Utahns to stay safe. Things wrap up with Benjamin Donner, executive director of the American Red Cross, Central and Southern Utah chapter, who discusses the importance of emergency car kits.
