Some of us adore staying at home. Some of us have kids that do and we just don't understand that. Today Caroline and I talk about the deeper picture that home is for Christians. Our houses are important to us, but it's more than just cleaning, and cooking. In them we find, even in the brokenness, we find glimpses of home lost and home that will come again.
You can find Caroline Saunder's HERE and her book "Story of Home".
Another book we talk about is "Same Here Sisterfriend"

Have you thought about starting a podcast, a YouTube channel, writing a book, or becoming a photographer, but it seemed out of reach in this stage of life? Often as women, we feel apologetic about choosing to take time to create things. What if instead of taking us from our families we looked at these opportunities to serve them even better and with more joy? Today Ashlee Gadd and I talk about what it looks like to Create Anyway as moms and busy women! We talk about common hurdles and how we have overcome them in our lives. We also talk about the spiritual sides of creativity!
I've linked Ashlee Gadd's new book "Create Anyway" and also her Instagram HERE!

Understanding the trinity seems like an impossible task for even adults. How in the world do we break that down for kids? Today Quina walks us through how she has done that in her children's book series. We also discuss the beauty of the trinity, what we have been learning about it, and why examining it is so important. Quina also tells how she got into spoken word poetry and her testimony! Overall, you'll be blessed by this and feel like you got to sit down with friends and chat for a bit!

In order to raise kids that don't go along with whoever sounds smartest we have to teach them to think critically. Culturally we throw around the phrase "Being a Critical Thinker" a lot, but what does that mean? Today Julie Bogart breaks down some critical thinking myths and then gives us tools for how to help our own kids think critically.

Did you know yelling begins with lies we believe about our lives and our kids? Tyler talks us through how to identify the lies we are believing and then tells us how God's word changes our hearts to address those! In the first half I give her a scenario that has been happening at our house. We talk through what lies may lead to stress, how to check my body for telltale signs that yelling is coming, and then how the Word of God can change my heart!
