SVU POD: Especially Heinous

Omg, you guys. This recap is insanely long. 90s/early 2000s rave and drug nostalgia will do that. Tasha legit edited out another hour of side stories that we may or may not share at some point on some platform. Recap 1:04 True Crime Chaser 1:05:18 *TW:Graphic descriptions of murder*

If we could fan fic rabbit hole on every random side character of this show, what a glorious web we'd weave! It'd be like SVU Sims! Recap 1:18 TCC 41:20 *TW: Child abduction and rape, murder, graphic descriptions*

This episode has everything: Crooked cops, cupholders, angry midwestern podcasters, garlic ranch blast, seriously bad cops, drug running, Nurse Jackie's husband…not Munch's pants, though. Those are gone. 0:43 Recap 52:22 True Crime Chaser **TW: Rape**

Dudes! Emma Roberts' Aunt Julia's brother is in this one!! Recap 1:22 True Crime Chaser 44:42 *TW: Rape*

Recap :34 True Crime Chaser 56:02 Quick quesh... If you were gonna pose for a sexually provocative photo for an online sex website, would you get a Nancy Reagan hairdo and toss on your sassiest church shoes? Of COURSE. Great. This episode is brought to you by Horse Math. **TW: Murder, sexual assault**

We were rolling right into the second half of season 2 really dedicated to strictly adhering to a chronological recap timeline. BUT WE COULDN'T HELP OURSELVES! We HAD to talk about the Benson/Stabes reunion. Because the show aired on Thursday night, Tasha couldn't do a chaser AND have it out by Tuesday. But, who needs a chaser when we've got the reunion of the decade?

We're back for the second half of season 2 and we are hitting it hard. Boom! Bebe Hayden Penetiere. Boom! The gingey local cop from Super Troopers. And don't forget some parent shaming, police interference, mom issues, dad issues, the "Rock and Roll Guy" from central casting. Tasha really struggled with figuring out a chaser here. Thanks for your suggestions to those who responded to our story on Instagram. Tasha is adding them to her list of "these are totally gonna be future SVU episodes" reference list. **TW: child neglect, child death** Recap 1:46 True Crime Chaser 49:15

We're taking, like, 5 seconds off of recapping to read a few of your emails and DMs and talk about stupid shit…and Gabe gets a ghost story. We also shout out a few of our faves - Crackers and Milk, an awesome small screen printing biz one woman show! Munch My Benson podcast, another great SVU pod! Ben at Goodland Tattoo in Milwaukee! We'll be back with full recaps and chasers on March 30th!

College pop quiz: frat chodes + an unknowingly drugged female student - "the right evidence" = we're not great at math but we're mad. All roads lead to us being furious. Recap 4:58 True Crime Chaser 49:28 *TW: rape, drugging*

This episode has everything! A church lady madam, barrels of meat, creepy Jim Carey, Kate Mara as a sinister child, gymnastics, murder, confessions of young teen Tasha, a Munch Hunch™, soooo many spine-chilling adult predatory men…. Recap 1:50 True Crime Chaser 47:02 *TW: pedophilia* Update: John Geddart killed himself last week upon facing 24 felony charges including: 14 counts of human trafficking, forced labor causing injury. Six counts of human trafficking of a minor for forced labor. One count of continuing criminal enterprise. One count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. One count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. One count of lying to a police officer during a violent crime investigation. I thought the whole cycle was summed up perfectly by Sarah Klein, a now 41 year old former gymnast, who was abused by both men "You had this good cop, bad cop dynamic that worked beautifully. John would beat us up and break us down both mentally and physically and then send us back to Larry, who would give us a tissue to dry our tears and sexually abuse us. Then he'd send us back to John, often on broken bones and pulled muscles, so the cycle could start all over again." so, f*ck him.
