  • 144: Turtleman Takes On Thor (2011)
    http://traffic.libsyn.com/sfjpodcast/20190517_SFJPOD_144.mp3

It's a new side-show edition of the SFJ Podcast and we're bringing you another part in our continuing series – Professor Chuck Turtleman's Guide to the Marvel Universe. It's no secret that Turtleman hates what he calls "toy movies". "Thor" (2011) combines all the things Turtleman despises: fantasy, magic, and a distinct lack of firearms.

Can this one possibly win him over and make him a Marvel fan? Stick it in your ears and find out.

    http://traffic.libsyn.com/sfjpodcast/20190419_SFJPOD_143.mp3

Hello again, honkies! Due to time zones and work schedules the trio can't record as frequently as they would like. So, in an effort to bring you more regular content Belasco, Booze, and Chuck Turtleman record short, extra segments when they can get together to publish between record sessions.

In our Side Show debut, Belasco recommend horror streaming service Shudder and, in particular, The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs. Of course, Booze and Turtleman believe Belasco is somehow being paid for this and continually mock the effort just as you would expect.

It's a full show, honkies! Just like we promised Belasco, Booze, and Turtleman are together again and this time we're bringing you a new game that challenges your interior decorating/adult film knowledge. It's Paint Or Porno!

In the News Round segment, Turtleman takes us to mysterious, far-away places like Wichita, Kansas where the latest battle in the War on Terror is being fought. We'll also visit with Bill Cosby and a British Member of Parliament that is being oppressed.

Then, it's time for everyone's favorite gang of misfits, Idiots of Facebook! We'll look in on Friendzone Frank and his dating woes, Duct Tape Lisa and her family struggles, and Krystal Keith's life philosophy as expressed through woodworking.

Stick this one in your ears while you're working the band saw, honkies!

  • 141: Mouse Man
    http://traffic.libsyn.com/sfjpodcast/20190405_SFJPOD_141.mp3

Welcome back, honkies! Today Prof. Chuck Turtleman shares with Belasco a person we're calling "Mouse Man". The world of retail pet stores can be a frightening place and Mouse Man has decided to stake a claim on Turtleman's store for all of his premium pet needs.

We'll also take a look back at a man we featured way back in 2012 – boxing coach, Eric Kelly. Eric made a name for himself when a YouTube video of his training style went viral. Booze and Belasco felt that Eric wasn't doing himself or the gym any favors. Chuck Turtleman (then known as Dr. P) disagreed. Who was right? We find out in this show when we update you on what's happened with Eric since then.

So, stick this one in your ears while you're hitting the heavy bag, you f****n' nerd.

    http://traffic.libsyn.com/sfjpodcast/20190329_SFJPOD_140.mp3

No one loves a music biopic more than Booze. That's why he volunteered to take the stick and share his review of the new blockbuster film "Bohemian Rhapsody".

We'll also rewind the clock back to episode #54 where we introduced our favorite YouTube sensation, Stefano!

It's a musical extravaganza on this week's show, so stick this one way up in there. You're ears, we mean.

    http://traffic.libsyn.com/sfjpodcast/2019_SFJPOD_139-25.mp3

Belasco and Turtleman get together to explain the complications of producing an SFJ show.

In short: it's all Booze's fault.

This is a brief discussion to let you listeners know what we're doing about it and how we plan to give you more content more frequently.

We also want to get you listeners more involved and would like for you to send us tales of the most weirdly insufferable people you've had the pleasure of working alongside. We're calling them "Real-life Dwights" after Dwight Shrute from the US version of The Office. Listeners in the UK can freely call this "Real-life Gareths" if they want.

Later, there's a topical discussion of the new 2-part HBO documentary, "Leaving Neverland" and a flashback segment from way back in 2012 when we talked to "The Ed". He had some things to say about Michael Jackson even way back then.

Stay tuned, a show with the full cast is coming soon.

    http://traffic.libsyn.com/sfjpodcast/20181223_SFJPOD_139.mp3

    Whaaaaat's up my ho-ho-honkies?

Join us for our very special Christmas and New Year Special, as we hitch our podcastial star of Bethlehem to the popular bandwagon of True Crime podcasts, and add a bit of Xmas ectoplasm just for good measure.

Meanwhile, Belasco tries to ruin Christmas for us by insisting that elves are actually quite tall, Booze turns detective to figure out why Take A Break magazine has gone rapidly downhill in 2018, and Professor Chuck Turtleman brings us bang up to date with an old fan favo(u)rite.

Yes. Idiots of Facebook is back!

Oh, and this is Christmas, so of course there are songs.

So pour yourselves a nice glass of something disgusting that you'd never touch at any other time of year, gather the family around a roaring fire (preferably in a fireplace) and stick us into every single one of your ears.

    Merry Christmas!

  • 138: Poo Moon
    http://traffic.libsyn.com/sfjpodcast/20181118_SFJPOD_138.mp3

Sometimes it's tough to know what to do. For example, what would you do if you were trying to slice a pizza with a filet knife and see your dog defecating on itself? We think stabbing your spouse should be pretty far down on the list of options, but that's exactly what one lady does in our Top-of-the-Show News Round segment. There's also some lovely, not self-absorbed people showing off their wealth on Instagram. Meanwhile, some officials in China are discussing building a new Chinese China-moon. Yes, a moon.

We'll meet a hip-hop fan named Shaq who is trying to broaden his musical horizons by listening to Metallica. That's tough! Also, Booze invites us to "Take a Break" with the Bald and the Beautiful, Beardo checks in and shares a recent family tragedy, and Belasco tries (again) to get everyone else to share in his personal obsession with the least sexy adult film ever created – now on Blu-Ray!

Later, Prof. Chuck Turtleman's Guide to the Marvel Universes reviews "Iron Man 2". Let's just say that it's probably better that Stan Lee is no longer able to hear it.

Stick this one in your noggin because it's a good one.

  • 137: The Beautiful Bright Blue Bell-Bottoms of Bill Bixby
    http://traffic.libsyn.com/sfjpodcast/20181014_SFJPOD_137.mp3

We've got a jam-packed episode. Not only is there another appearance by our good friend Bane (off of Batman), but we meet a new friend of the show known as Dr. Brain. He's the biggest YouTube sensation since Stefano and will enlighten us with a wealth of knowledge that could only come from a deep, rich understanding of how to look up things on Wikipedia.

Booze shares with us how the UK looks out for blind citizens in public toilets and Prof. Chuck Turtleman spends time with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's "The Incredible Hulk". Astute listeners know that the Incredible Hulk has a connection to Bill Bixby. Well, we wouldn't be the number one Bill Bixby podcast on the Internet if we failed to tell you he was also in a movie called "Clambake" with a guy named Elvis (DuckDuckGo him for more info). Belasco will tell us all about that and share some music history.

The News Round, as you've come to expect, is full of sex and drugs. We'll go dumpster diving for some choice cuts of blubber and get embraced by the tentacles of ecstacy. Also, you might remember a little song we produced called "Robot Hand". The good news is, we've updated it. The great news is, it's migrated to another part of the body.

So, cram this one up one of those places where you can hear it real nice.

  • Episode #136: Professor Chuck Turtleman's Guide to the Marvel Universe

    .

    Featuring: Booze, Chuck Turtleman, Belasco

    http://traffic.libsyn.com/sfjpodcast/20180914_SFJPOD_136.mp3

    Hello Listeners with Good Taste,

We finally finished this episode after a particularly nasty attempt at sabotage. We're not pointing any fingers (Turtleman), but someone didn't record they're side of the conversation. Maybe it was alternate-universe Dr. P. Either way, despite some sound issues, the episode is here!

This episode, we welcome back our old friend Bane (off of Batman)! We catch up with what's going on his life and get some top-quality life advice. Later Belasco subjects noted "toy-movie" hater, Professor Chuck Turtleman, to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Turtleman begins his journey with Iron Man (2008) and he better damn-well like it. We'll give Neil deGrasse Tyson

Belasco gets a bug up his butt (#belascopath) and admonishes you listeners about taking a joke too far. A school system decides that maybe spanking students (#belascopath) isn't the most effective form of discipline. An unrelated student decides that the "Jedi Way" means he won't fight back against bullies (#belascopath). And, a Chinese Chinacouple have to be taught the correct way to increase the size of their family (#guess).

All this and more, so stick it in your ears, honkies!
