While journeying to the play, Eric is forced out of his bubble of protection and is attacked. Those first boys were so sweet and offer him a drink, but then Otis was late and Otis had the tickets, Eric’s phone and wallet get stolen, and then you know, it only takes one turn for things to go south. “This isn’t me, this is a costume” then he walks into a caravan of lights and he asks to go home but his home is Jean.

Otis makes a choice, in some ways it is the right choice because Maeve opens up and she needs him. But Eric needs him too.
