In this episode of Passport To Wealth™, Arielle Tucker, CFP®, EA talks with Blair Hoover, expat financial independence coach and educator, about what it really takes to pursue FIRE while living overseas. After losing money in an offshore savings plan early in her journey, Blair transformed that experience into the foundation of her financial education. Less than a decade later, she and her husband reached financial independence in their mid-40s.
Blair explains why expats are frequently targeted with high fee products, how fear and shame keep many people stuck in cash, and why taking imperfect action is often better than waiting for the perfect plan. She also shares how frugality, relationships, and quality of life can coexist, and how spending in alignment with your values can make the journey sustainable.
If you are dreaming about financial independence abroad but feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or behind, this conversation will show you a practical and human path forward.

Pricing coaching services after corporate can expose an uncomfortable truth: experienced professionals pricing like beginners.
In this episode, I sit down with Glasa Gottschalk, Life & Business Mindset Coach and founder of G.I.I. Coaching & Consulting, to talk about why that happens — and what needs to shift.
From well-meaning but misguided advice inside certification programs to the carryover of effort-based, hourly thinking, we explore how corporate experience quietly gets discounted when professionals move into coaching. We also discuss the difference between pricing based on time and pricing based on transformation — and why separating identity from pricing changes everything.
If you’ve transitioned from corporate into coaching, this conversation will challenge how you’re approaching pricing coaching services — and whether your fees truly reflect the experience you bring.

Session 1: Where Do I Even Start?
Joanna has done the research. She's read the articles, compared the studies, questioned who funded what. She's a scientist by training—she wants the data.
But here's the thing about health: the data that matters most is yours.
In this first session, Danna and Joanna sit down to map out the terrain. Sleep? Actually pretty solid (thanks, progesterone and a strict bedtime routine). Diet? A mix of good intentions and survival mode—lentils for the kids, delivery when no one feels like cooking, and chocolate stashed in every drawer.
The plan isn't dramatic. It's doable: protein at lunch, bulletproof coffee in the morning, eggs before the big meal.
The real shift? Permission to stop chasing perfection and start paying attention.
This is session one of Joanna's health journey. New sessions drop once a month.

The first session is done—and Danna and Megan are debriefing. What just happened? What worked? What do listeners need to know about getting the most out of health coaching?
Joanna came in like a lot of first-timers: a little anxious, full of questions, not quite sure how coaching works. She wanted a program. A protocol. Something concrete. But that's not how this goes. Good coaching isn't about talking at someone—it's about listening, pulling out what's really going on, and meeting people where they are.
The good news? Joanna already prioritizes sleep. That's huge. And she wants to understand the why behind everything—her scientific brain is an asset here, not a hurdle.
For anyone starting coaching: show up present. Take a few breaths. Stay in touch between sessions. And know that your coach isn't judging you—they're just your accountability partner, checking in to say, "Hey, remember me? I'm still here."
This is the debrief after session one of Joanna's health journey.

Chapter 0: Before We Begin
Meet Joanna: working mom, twin wrangler, cheese enthusiast. She's got four-year-old twins, a ten-year-old who moonlights as a paid babysitter, and a brain that hasn't known single-tasking in years.
She's here because of the afternoon crash—that 2pm slump that wipes her out. She wants her focus back, her energy back, her brain back. But she's also clear about what she's not here for: diets. Diet culture. Anything she wouldn't want her daughters to see.
Joanna eats flexitarian, leans plant-based for the planet, but isn't giving up cheese anytime soon. She's skeptical of the perimenopause hype (especially when someone's trying to sell her supplements). She wants changes that are sustainable, not restrictive.
Danna's answer? The 80/20 rule. Eat well most of the time. Enjoy your life. No diets. No guilt. Just figuring out what actually works for her body.
This is where Joanna's health journey begins.

We're doing something we've never done before on So Frickin' Healthy. We're opening the doors to real health coaching sessions and letting you listen in.
Over the next six episodes, you'll hear actual coaching conversations between Danna and a client we're calling Joanna. This isn't polished. This isn't edited to sound perfect. This is real coaching in action, with all the messy, honest, breakthrough moments that come with it.
Why are we sharing this?
Because so many of you ask us what health coaching actually looks like. How does it work? What happens in these sessions? What kind of changes can happen when you have someone helping you navigate your health challenges?
This series answers those questions.
What you'll gain from listening:
You'll see how coaching helps someone work through real health challenges. You'll learn tools and strategies you can apply to your own health journey. You'll understand what it's like to work with a health coach. And you might just recognize yourself in some of these conversations.
Meet Joanna
Joanna is a woman in her early 40s dealing with the kind of health struggles so many of you tell us about. She's generously agreed to share her coaching journey with you, and we're incredibly grateful for her vulnerability and openness.
This is a six-episode series. Make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss any part of Joanna's journey.
