Christy spent 20 years as a felony prosecutor in the King County Prosecutor's Office, mainly prosecuting child sex offenders. This podcast had me spreading happiness from the get go! John is an entrepreneur, dancer, Philanthropist, athlete and lover who also has down syndrome. John Cronin and his Dad, Mark X. Cronin are the co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, a social enterprise with a mission to spread happiness. In five years, they bootstrapped their start up into the world’s largest sock store with multi-million-dollar sales in 88 nations. John may have Down syndrome, but he always says, “Down syndrome never holds me back.”

John, Mark and I chew the 21 chromosomes on how important it is to build a business on purpose, theirs being to spread happiness and build a social enterprise where more than half our employees have a differing ability. They are fierce advocates for the rights of the differently abled and have testified twice before the U.S. Congress and spoken at the United Nations and recorded two TEDx Talks.

This podcast had me loving my name from the get go!   Emily Soutter lost her beautiful sister Katie to Cystic Fibrosis 12 months ago and in that time has created a charity ball for 500 attendees whilst working full time. www.facebook.com/emsoutter Emily shares her sisters story, a vivacious person with a zest for life who made an impact in the lives of everyone she met.   Katie was born with Cystic fibrosis yet didn’t let it define her. She underwent 2 double lung transplants and passed away whilst waiting for her third at 32 years young! Katie was also a personal trainer who understood the importance of staying healthy and empowered others to do the same.   Emily and I keep Katie’s legacy alive by sharing the amazing work Emily has done in creating a ball in her sisters honour, with only one committee member, herself!
