SyFy Sistas

Rico E. Anderson has been a true Brotha to the SyFy Sistas from jump. He is always hyping us up and thanking us for the work that we love to do. So we wanted to thank him for his continued support and finally get one of our favorite humans on the show.

Rico is an actor that has many credits, none of which you will hear about on this episode. Instead Tamia, Yvette and Rico talk about tap dancing, Black Studies, Marilyn Monroe & Ella Fitzgerald, being young and Black in the 90's and of course the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.

The first LIVE EPISODE recording of the The SyFy Sistas Podcast!

The Sistas took the show on the road to Trek Long Island. They take a look at the many times a Star Trek episode would have been over in five minutes…IF THAT HAD BEEN A SISTA.

Thank you to the crew at Trek Long Island for a wonderful experience. And thank you to all that joined us for this recording.

The Sistas nerd out and speak 'book' with pop cultural king Robb Pearlman, who has written over 70 books, including Starfleet Is and Live Like a Vulcan, Love like a Wookie, Laugh like a Hobbit. With a self proclaimed agenda to "put out kindness" into the world, Robb is still determined to make you think. Sistas and Robb think about declaring things as canon and even delve into the world of Poet Smurf.

Our fellow Trek Geeks Johnson Lee and Mike Thurlow from the Deep Space Pride Podcast join Subrina and Yvette for a season recap of Star Trek Picard. Four life long Trekkies with four different views of TNG and the last 10 episodes of Star Trek's most talked about season.

We do a thorough job of spoiling the entire series...you have been warned.
