In this new episode, Morbid Books editor and writer Lev Parker joins the show for the second time, this time bringing along none other than the divine philosopher and poet Nina Power, who of course just wrote a beautiful afterword for Adam's new book 'Communions'. A wide variety of topics are addressed, from the middle class tendency towards being a micro-cop, to gender extremism, to the role for art against such dismal sociopolitics.
Lev has a new novel out called '4th Industrial Revolution Pimp' that none other than NY-based transgressive writer Supervert has called "the first great work of Covid literature." Nina's new book is coming out in early 2022, 'What Do Men Want?' finds Nina exploring the dilemma held by men in the 21st Century.

In Alex Bienstock's second edition of his SOS side project, Collectin' Scalps with Stock, Alex and Adam converse with artist, curator, and former Real Fine Arts co-director Ben Morgan-Cleveland.
For 10 years, Ben was the co-proprieter (alongside artist Tyler Dobson) of Real Fine Arts. Arguably the most interesting gallery in New York during the 2010s, Real Fine Arts helped launch the careers of friends of the show and great artists including Mathieu Malouf and Heji Shin, not to mention Sex Magazine editor Asher Penn, Sam Pulitzer, Nicolas Ceccaldi, Maggie Lee and many more.
In his own work, Ben works in a vast array of media and consistently deconstructs the limits of the gallery space, whether it's making a "gallery of words" or exhibiting a massive, hand-built couch, this guy is always doing his damn thing! In this chat, the bros discuss the legacy of Real Fine Arts, Ben's work, and Adam and Ben's shared history of growing up art phag in suburban Massachusetts.

Adam discusses 'Communions' with New Books Network
In this episode, we are joined by Janie, a young poet operating in the realm of Substack and a young singer who recently started posting songs to a Soundcloud page. We discuss poetry here, mostly, everything from Robert Desnos to Ghostface Killah to John Asheberry to Darby Crash, and try and ponder a role for poetry in liquid modernity. Adam also expresses disgust over the politicization of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, and can't believe the erosion of due process that has been leveled at an innocent young man who defended himself against violent assailants.

In 'Collectin' Scalps with 'Stock', a System of Systems side project, Adam takes second mic handing over creative direction to none other than based swaggot, artist, and former guest Alex Bienstock. In this series, the boys go undercover in the scourges of the New York art world, interviewing friends and foes alike to get to the bottom of the transgressively creative id that drives us to do this shit.
In the first episode, we interview artist, puppeteer and sex worker Alice Aster to talk about her work, her philosophy, her side hustles, and more. Enjoy!

System of Systems, at long last, is back. First things first, Ben AKA the Perpetual Self Optimizer is no longer the producer/co-host, and we want to thank him for all the great work done on this program.
Replacing him is none other than former guest Will Samson, who takes over production duties and second mic. Welcome him!
In our first episode back, we have Ellroy Boys co-host and Apocalypse Confidential editor Blauergeist! specifically to take on the colossal disaster that is The Sopranos prequel film The Many Saints of Newark. Somehow, as bad as this film could be (cheesy as fuck casting, thin plot, aesthetically flat and gross) it's somehow so, so, so much worse. It's the kind of spinoff film that complicates the entire legacy of its source material. The great work of American pop art reduced to a shitty, faux edgy dirtbag leftist meme.

Adam on Many Saints of Newart: https://safetypropaganda.substack.com/p/based-safetty-vs-cringe-propaganda
In this episode, Adam is joined by Bimbo Ubermensch aka SANDRA and host of the Pleasure Helmet podcast Ilydivna aka Dana to talk about two recent pop culture spectacles equally flawed and fascinating. We are talking about Kanye West's 'DONDA' and the release parties that Kanye threw to celebrate its publication, as well as Leos Carax's new English language Sparks-soundtracked, Adam Driver-starring avant-musical film 'Annette'. While both art works are wildly imperfect, there is something about the spectacle around the art works themselves that creates a Debordian situationist spectacle that demands attention with outré ideas. This is something to be celebrated. We also shit talk the middle class, which is the worst class.
