This week, we're talking about the stimulus payments. More specifically, we're talking about what we think the long term effects of all this "free" money will have. We also wondered: Is this money in fact free?

This week, we're talking about this Kirk Franklin situation. Oftentimes, we skip over topics like this, but this one just hit a nerve and we couldn't let it pass.

This week, we're talking about the political correctness society continues to use to erase "offensive" works of art. This time, cancel culture has decided that Looney Tune characters are fair game and, as usual, we had to speak on how stupid we think this current environment is.

This week, we're asking a question: Should the US decriminalize all drugs? It sounds like a crazy question and this episode was filled with crazy (sounding) questions like that, but the fact that most (if not all) of the drug laws in this country were fueled by racism made us step back and ask that question. Really think about it: Why is using a drug (heroin, crack, or otherwise) a criminal issue? We have ideas on why...

This week, we're talking about being liars, to be blunt. We both lie and were wondering how many of our relationships we currently maintain would survive if we suddenly stopped lying. Now, to be fair, we had to each define what we meant by "lie" and found that for each of us, it was a bit different. In any event, we did agree that we lie in our everyday lives and believe that 99.9999% of everyone else does as well. The question is: How much longer can we do this?

This week, we're talking about Joe Biden and his recent stance on student loan forgiveness. We both have student loan balances and have been paying attention to the progress (or lack thereof) being made. The idea of forgiving $50,000 has been floated by a couple of members in Congress, but Biden has pushed back with a proposal to cancel (only) $10,000 in federal student loan debt. Well...we have thoughts.

This week, we talked about coming to the realization that we are getting older and the idea of becoming "elders" made us wonder if that's even a thing anymore. How do we get the opportunity to grow into the elders we're supposed to become if the younger generation is disinterested in the lessons? We transitioned (went on a tangent, once again) to talking about the fact that sometimes people can hide behind not being confrontational in an effort to remain a victim and not have the responsibility to work toward resolution.

This week, we're talking about something that came about because of Sesame Street...seriously. So, we recently watched a documentary on Sesame Street called 'Street Gang' and in one portion, they talked about the introduction of a black Muppet that was intended to speak to a segment of black children (it'll make more sense when you listen to the episode, I promise). Anyways, the issues of "code switching" and "respectability politics" came to mind and how we've had to deal with them throughout our lives, both individually and as a couple.

This week, we talked about the new challenges we've been bombarded with (both in our personal lives, but also in the lives of some people that are close to us) to try to continue developing and growing despite the obvious distractions.

This week, we're taking a quick look at a topic we didn't plan on talking about, but we watched a CBS documentary, The Vanishing Black Family from 1986 and afterwards had this feeling that not much has changed since '86 and decided to talk about it. A lot of the conversation ended up touching on a few personal things, but we felt as we always do: press record, be honest and the rest will take care of itself. So that's what we did.
