This Parable was about a farmer, who payed more attention to a small lapdog, than a hard working donkey. The donkey became jealous and thought he deserved more attention because he worked harder. One day, the donkey decided he wanted to be more like the lap dog, and ran into the farmers house.
The Dog and Its Reflection is one of Aesop's Fables. The Greek language original was retold in Latin and in this way was spread across Europe, teaching the lesson to be contented with what one has and not to relinquish substance for shadow.
The Cock, the Dog and the Fox is one of Aesop's Fables. Although it has similarities with other fables where a predator flatters a bird, such as The Fox and the Crow and Chanticleer and the Fox, in this one the cock is the victor rather than victim.
"Belling the Cat" is a fable also known under the titles "The Bell and the Cat" and "The Mice in Council". Although often attributed to Aesop, it was not recorded before the Middle Ages and has been confused with the quite different fable of Classical origin titled The Cat and the Mice.
