  • S2 E3: "Alternative Lifestyles" (It's Thursday, Baby!)
Things are get real around Manmeat Manor as the ladders come down and the parents let loose! Joey takes a break from the heady first stage of her new romance to throw her family/work relationships out like so much Ice House mop water. Jen & Abby are thick as thieves and coarse as a couple of sailors on leave. Andi tries way too hard and pretty much gets steamrolled anyway. Local Screwup Pacey & Newcomer Screwup Jack finally meet and clear some air. The adults all pretty much just give up.

  • S2 E2 "Crossroads": The 2002 One
Reed reads the wrong Crossroads wiki headline (which he should have known by 1986 immediately after the title and when Britney Spears was born in 1981), but that's not all!
It's a rager on the pier for Pacey's forgotten birthday, and some people handle the party beverages better than others. Also introduction to Jack, aka our little Jack snack.
We're so glad to be back, y'all!

  • S2 E1 "The Kiss": Speedboat Developments
Did you like this episode? Because Cal hated it. It's probably because there are 3 new blondes in town and one of them is PACEY.
We're back for Season 2! Jen is dealing with her grandfather's death (poorly), Joey and Dawson are officially an item (yuck), there's a new rich girl in town (yay!), and Dawson has apparently been hiding a speed boat this entire fucking time. We're mad for you, Joey.

  • "Decisions": The Grand Finale w/a Special Guest
Okay, now you'll see why this episode took about a month to put up. Kara and Reed have a very special guest on the show for the Season 1 finale: Gracen Armendariz!
We attempted to do a 3-way (Dawson's dream) Zoom call, so the recording quality is wonky. We've learned a lot. Will we apply the lessons for future episodes, much like the teenagers we're discussing? It's anyone's guess, baby!
Gracen settles the "Dawson: Hot or Not" debate, Kara has very high standards for celebrity attractiveness (the new debate is "Matt Damon: Hot or Not"), and Reed needs someone to validate him on a couple of different topics, if you feel like reaching out.
We did it, y'all! We made it through season 1! Thanks for sticking with us.

  • "Beauty Contest": Eat the Rich
Kara and Reed are the Spielbergs of this podcast, in case you hadn't noticed.
It's beauty pageant time in Capeside! But the real contest is between the poor kids who literally don't have a room to sleep in and need $5000 for a future, and the rich kids who just wanna feel like the prettiest Windjammer in town.
Some ~feelings~ are happening between Dawson and Joey's alter ego, Éponine. Will Dawson pull a total Marius or will the pining soon be unrequited?

  • "Road Trip" & "Double Date"
Oops, we did it again! We’ve broken a lot of promises, including the one we made to ourselves that we would never again talk about two episodes of Dawson's Creek in a single podcast. Too late! Not sure if we've learned our lesson though.
Kara casually discusses her greatest fears (intruders, bodies of water, being snatched out of her Jeep) and Reed has all of the quotes you’ll ever need.
“Road Trip” wasn’t our favorite, so feel free to skip and move on to “Double Date”, for all of the ball-throwing, frog-catching, shoulder-baring drama. Plenty of ~feelings~ in the second half of this episode, mainly from Kara.

  • "Boyfriend": Pobody's Nerfect
There's a visitor in town! He's got a plan: to sleep at her ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend's house. Classic villain moves.
Join us in our bafflement over this entire episode! Also enjoy Kara understanding Dawson's perspective for once and being really uncomfortable with it.

  • "Detention": Truth or Dare is Teenage Law
In this week's episode, it's the Creek Crew's tribute to The Breakfast Club! Rules are broken, new friends join the fray, old friends get really weird with each other, chocolate is stirred!
Demasculinize your cares and join us as we chat through more of the kids' kooky adventures. We dare you!

  • "Baby": Goodbye Mrs. Robinson
Watch out Bessie, that baby is popping out! But don't worry, a handful of teenagers from Capeside High are there to get you through it.
Reed does some of his best accent work and Kara has bad allergies. They also know nothing about childbirth. Sorry.
And we finally say goodbye to Capeside's Mrs Robinson, and sincerely hope that everyone chips in for Pacey's therapy.
Want to join the Creek Club? We require a headshot (we'll hang it in our hallway) and, like, $50.

About Talk Dawson to Me

From the publisher's feed

Reed and Lou are two married people with a love for each other, their two little dogs, and nostalgic (bad?) 1990’s TV.
