In episode #53, Barry-John spoke to former DEA agent, Robert Mazur who was part of the most successful undercover operation in the Drug Enforcement Administration's history when they infiltrated the deadliest drug cartel on the planet, The Medellin Cartel, which was spearheaded by Pablo Escobar.
Robert's career was immortalised firstly in his best selling book which was then made into a movie of the same name, The Infiltrator which Hollywood A-lister Bryan Cranston starred as Robert.
In this fascinating podcast Robert speaks openly about his time spent as an undercover agent and the very real dangers that this presented. Robert also provides some very honest answers on his relationships with cartel members and how this affected him when bringing them to justice.
Another topic covered is the dynamic of the drug trade today and relationships between the cartels in Colombia and Mexico as well as the street gangs in the US.

In this episode Barry-John talks to convicted drug dealer turned author Niko Vorobyov about how got into dealing drugs which resulted in him getting stabbed. Niko then talks about how he ended up in prison after getting caught with MDMA and cocaine for supply in London, England. All of this lead to Niko writing the fantastic book, Dope World.

In episode #51 Barry-John speak's to Ed Calderon who spent over a decade working in the field of counter narcotics, organised crime investigation and public safety on the vicious blood stained and cartel infested streets of Mexico.
Ed is a security expert who has shared his expertise with law enforcement groups throughout the world including the FBI, the US Marshals as well as military units such as the US Navy Seals, Indonesian Kapaska, Mexican GAFE and intelligence and special forces groups throughout the world.
In this podcast Ed talks about the state of politics and and criminality in Mexico as well as China's potential involvement in a state sponsored drug program involving the Triads, the Chinese Government, the Mexican government and the Mexican cartels to import fentanyl and methamphetamine to the Mexico with a final destination on the US streets.
The topics of drug legalisation is also discussed as well as the relationships that have forged over the years between the Colombian Cartels and the Mexican Cartels.

In episode #47 of Talk of Shame Podcast, Barry-John spoke to a remarkably brave and inspirational woman called Lynsey Bennett.
Lynsey (32) has been failed by the Irish health system. She is a mother of two young daughters who are her world. She had multiple smear tests which were misread and this denied her an early diagnosis and a better chance of survival. This has resulted in Lynsey being diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer with a short life expectancy.
