In this episode Barry-John speaks with reformed Neo Nazi Bryon Widner about his time in the extremely violent white supremacist underworld where he committed some disturbingly violent crimes including slicing off a homeless Native American mans ear in order to earn his stripes.
Bryon accumulated racist & Nazi tattoos which covered his face and neck as a badge of honour to his fellow gang members and a warning to his enemies.
Bryon would come to question the racist ideology that his group boasted and decided to move on with his life. Unfortunately in the world that he was entrenched the only 2 ways to leave were to go to prison or in a coffin so leaving the group made him a marked man.
Leaving the group brought violence to his front door and his life was threatened on numerous occasions.
Eventually Bryon helped the FBI to obtain convictions against his former gang members. This has made Bryon a marked man for the rest of his life.
Bryon also talks about the excruciatingly painful 2 year process of removing all of the racist tattoo so that he could move on with his life as well as his deep regrets about the life that he has left behind.

In this tragic but captivating episode Barry-John speaks with Huwe Burton from the Bronx in New York.
On January 3rd, 1989 when Huwe was just 16 years of age, he came home from school to find that his mother had been brutally murdered. After calling the police Huwe was catapulted from being a grieving son to being the prime suspect.
He was then sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for which he served 20 years. Huwe was completely innocent of the crime.
During this fascinating conversation Huwe discusses the despicable techniques used by the interrogating officers to coerce a confession out of him as well as serving time with hardened career criminals, murderers and rapists while trying to maintain his sanity in the knowledge that he was an innocent man.
Huwe never gave up and always maintained his innocence but struggled to get people to believe him with the exception of his beloved father who offered unwavering support for his son throughout his battle for justice.
Huwe kept campaigning and writing to organisations protesting his innocence and finally the innocence project offered him a new lease of life by believing in him.
In 2009 Huwe was released on parole and alongside The Innocence Project kept campaigning to be exonerated which he eventually was in January 2019.
