In this weeks episode Barry-John speaks with the beautiful US Porn Star Silvia Saige.

This interview is definitely NOT for the prudish and discusses the porn industry in depth with everything from STD's, sexual assault and being negatively stereotyped due to her chosen profession. Nothing is off the table.

Silvia speaks about how she transitioned in to the porn industry at the age of 28  after having a career in the medical world.

Silvia also spoke about male porn actor Ron Jeremy who is currently on trial for rape and sexual assault and her experiences with him as well as some younger actresses taking the wrong path and getting heavily involved with drugs.

We also get to hear how her friends and family react when she told them that she does porn for a living.

In this weeks episode which is being released on the day of the sentencing, Barry-John speaks to American Cold Case Investigator Paul Holes about catching the Golden State Serial Killer, James Joseph DeAngelo.

James DeAngelo was responsible for at least 13 murders and over 50 rapes in California between 1973 to 1986. His victims ranged in age from 12 - 41.

This was a cold case which looked like it would never be solved until Paul Holes used ground breaking techniques.

This sadistic serial killer took pleasure in terrorising his victims and was extremely brazen and moved around the whole state of California committing the most abhorrent crimes.

In this weeks episode of Talk of Shame Podcast, Barry-John speaks to VICE's War Correspondent Ben Anderson.

Ben has spent time on the ground in some of the most violent and troubled regions on the planet such as Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria to name a few.

For most of us occupational hazards in the workplace include slipping on wet floor or pricking our finger on a thumbtack. For Ben Anderson the stakes are so much higher. There is an ever present threat of being shot or kidnapped and beheaded by some of the most depraved terrorist groups in the world such as ISIS and Al Qaeda.

In this episode you will hear an honest account of what it is like to be on the ground in a war zone with bullets flying inches over your head. You will also hear of the frustrations that the US and British forces face with local forces in Afghanistan where they child sex abuse and rampant drug abuse isn't uncommon.

In this weeks episode Barry-John speaks to Jorge Valdes who is one of the founding members of the infamous Medellin Drugs Cartel.

In part 1 of this 2 part podcast, Jorge Valdes talks about how he went to prison in the United States after a plane that he was a passenger of crashed in the jungles of Panama while carrying over 200kg of cocaine worth over $7,000,000 USD.

Jorge was then severely tortured while in a Panama prison. After paying several bribes to officials and even paying off General Noriega himself, he was handed over to Interpol and extradited to the United States where he went on trial and was imprisoned.

He also speaks about his relationship with one of the history's most feared and recognised drug lord's, Pablo Escobar as well as the female Colombian drug queen known as the Black Widow, Griselda Blanco and their propensity for extreme violence.

The podcast also covers the recent Black Lives Matter movement  and lots more.

In this weeks episode Barry-John speaks to John Krause who has spent over 12 years of his life behind bars. 

John was just 4 years old when his father crashed his motorcycle with him riding alongside. Unfortunately his dad passes away but John survived. This unfortunate event had a profound impact on John and was one of the contributing factors to him turning to alcohol and drugs later in his life.

Due to addiction issues John has served time in some of the most notorious prisons in the United States including San Quentin where he repeat offenders are thrown in beside seasoned criminals including murderers and rapists.

After realising that his life was being wasted and that this wasn't who he was as a person, John turned to god and set his life in a more positive trajectory.

Upon being released from prison, John struggled to find meaningful employment due to his criminal history but eventually found his passion.  What started off as a hobbey eventually led to John's entrepreneurial skills kicking in and him opening up a coffee roasting company called 'Big House Beans'.

John now looks to give back to the community and Big House Beans employing former inmates and addicts in the Bay Area of San Francisco.

In this weeks episode Barry-John speaks to a British Narco Journalist and accomplished author called Ioan Grillo about how his career has brought him to Central America and face to face with some of the worlds most deadly and feared drug cartels.

Ioan tells Barry-John how he has traveled in countries like Mexico, Colombia and Honduras and encountered mass murdering cartels such as the deadly Sinaloa Cartel, Los Zetas as well as deadly street gangs such as the feared MS13. He speaks about journalists being targeted by the cartels and tells of when he actually feared for his own life when being in the company of high ranking cartel members who have turned on him.

The podcast also covers the corruption in Mexico, the international drugs trade, arms trafficking while also telling some truly frightening and heart breaking stories that Ioan has witnessed in his amazing career as a journalist in some of the world's most dangerous places.

In this episode Barry-John talks to former Homeland Security & ICE agent Victor Avila.

In 2011 agent Avila and his partner agent Zapata were sent on a mission to collect equipment in Mexico.  

As part of the mission they were ordered to travel on a treacherous road called Highway 57 which was known for carjackings, violence and sexual assaults.

While on their way back to Mexico city the two agents came under attack from the incredibly violent and infamous drug cartel 'Los Zetas'.

This is Victor's incredible and tragic story.
