Your favourite co-hosts kick off their annual season of giving for you the lucky listener tonight, with the first of five December episodes!  We're talking about the 1987-88 Edmonton Oilers, the final squad in that era of the great dynasty before ol' 99 caught the last train for the coast.  It was certainly a year of transition,  as both Paul Coffey and Andy Moog preceded Wayner out of town.  They only lost 2 games during the playoff run, but thanks to the "Blackout In Beantown" they ended up playing 19 games.  Amazing squad full of some of the all-time greats!

In the  second, we go coast to coast to check in with each of the 7 squads north of the border.  Lemme tell ya, it's been a pretty bleak month of November.  We also tell you to head over to @sportscc78 for the finest in feathery mullet needs.

In the third, we'll tell you about the first ever Garage League Talkin' Hockey Teammate of the Month, ol' Handsome Tommy Kroeker!  Plus we've got the latest installment of our Score Six Pack Attack!

Your favourite co-hosts are back to talk about one of the greatest teams ever, maybe the best in our era, the 2001-2002 Detroit Red Wings!  This stacked lineup featured 10 future Hall of Fame players, the infamous "Grind Line" and was coached by perhaps the greatest of all time, Mr. Scotty Bowman.  It's no surprise that they dominated the league, winning their 3rd President's Trophy and avenging an upset loss to the LA Kings in the first round the year before.  Their conference final vs the Colorado Avalanche put an exclamation point on one of the greatest modern rivalries in NHL history, going 7 games in one of the best series of all time!

In the second, we discuss your Jets news of the day, as all-world goalie Connor Hellybuyck hits the shelf for 4-6 weeks post knee surgery.  Can Eric Comrie fill those big pads in the interim or will Thomas Milic seize his first real pro opportunity?  Does Helly still suit up to rule the crease for Team USA, and will the Jets trade for a stopgap solution - inquiring minds want to know!  Plus we talk contract terminations, ol' Mikko is gooning it up and ol' Tommy has a new segment cooked up that we're sure you're going to enjoy!

Plus, we've got the stat line of the week, a big tings afoot in the GLH and another riveting week of the Score Six Pack Attack!

Look here listeners, podcasts come and go, but the chance to talk about Hartford . . . The Whale?  You only get to do one of those episodes maybe once or twice in a lifetime.  And lucky you, tonight is one of those nights and we're talkin' about the 1985-86 Hartford Whalers!  Considered by most to be the most successful season in club history, the squad was lead by names like Ron Francis, Ray Ferraro, Sylvain Turgeon and Kevin Dineen, plus not one but two (!!!) Babych brothers and the steady Mike Luit between the pipes!  The dispatched the division winning Nordiques in three straight, the only playoff series victory in franchise history, before losing to the Habs in the Adams final in 7 games.

In period two we talk about the suddenly inconsistent Winnipeg Jets, talk about the injury bug that seems to be biting everyone and dip our toes into international waters with a little Team Canada chatter.

In the third, we've got a brand new sponsored segment for ya, plus another Score pack attack, and maybe a GLH update for you if you play your cards right!

There's a chill in the air to be sure, not sure if it's because the temps are dipping and the darkness comes early these days or if it's because your favourite co-hosts are talkin' Leafs!  That's right, we've got the 1966-67 Toronto Maple Leafs on the slate tonight, the last Toronto squad to hoist Lord Stanley.  Lead by legends like Ron Ellis, Dave Keon, Frank Mahovlich, George Armstrong, Red Kelly and donut pitchman Tim Horton, with Johnny Bower and Terry Sawchuk between the pipes and the great Punch Imlach behind the bench, this squad vanquished the hated Habs in six games!

Then we talk about the surge of youthful exuberance in the league as the Habs and Ducks are on heaters and names like Celebrini and Bedard are near the top of the points race.  It's refreshing ain't it?  Also, the your Winnipeg Jets go oh-fer California and the squad down in St. Louis is singing the Blues!

In period three, we've got a huge PWHL announcement and we kick off a new team in our Score Six Pack attack!  All this and trio of great Canadian tunes, eh!

After a weekend of Halloween shenanigans, hockey related and otherwise, plus too many mini-chocolate bars, your favourite co-hosts are back at the boards!

First up we're talking about 1988-89 Calgary Flames, a stalwart squad of vets and young bucks that their second consecutive President's Cup and finally got to drink from their first Lord Stanley!  Featuring the likes of Mt. Rushmore mustachioed legend Lanny MacDonald, big Al MacInnis, Gary Suter, Joe Nieuwendyk, show fav Joe Mullen, Dougie Gilmour, Hakan Loob and the steady 'tendy tandem of Mike Vernon and Rick Wamsley - the Flames were a formidable force that defeated the Montreal Canadians in the last all Canadian final!

In the second frame, we're joined by the Admin from the great instagram site CANADA.GOV.CA to talk hockey, Canadiana, East Coast livin' and a noted NHL'er that he faced off against playing minor hockey!

Finally, Tommy was down at Canada Life again over the weekend, taking in a matinee with Danny Margarita and he's got the full rink report from a great Jet's win!  And we play the final card in our first six pack attack, rounding out our first squad - will co-host Jared find his goalie and will co-host Tom finally get some scoring up front?  Hard to say, but tune in and find out!

Oh hey there, hi there, hello there hockey fans - your favourite co-hosts are back at it live this week with jam packed show full of all the puck chatter worth talkin' about!

First up, we'll tell you about 1990-91 Minnesota North Stars!  Decked out in the classic green, gold and white uni's this team of underachievers got hot at the right time and went on an improbable march to the cup final, finally losing in 6 to the Mario Lemieux led Pittsburgh Penguins!  They finished the regular season 4th in the Norris, 12 games below the .500 mark.  Lead by franchise legends Neal Broten, Dave Gagner, Brian Bellows and Bobby Smith, plus a young Mike Modano and show favs Brian Propp and Dougie Smail, they went on a run that saw them dispatch Chicago and St. Louis - teams that bested them by more than 40 points in the regular season!  Don't forget Jon Casey and his sick kit between the pipes!

In the second frame, we're all of the place - talkin' jersey politics,  ideal lineups, seasonal surprises and disappointments to date. Plus, Tommy goes to the rink and he's got a report!

Finally in the third, all GLH teams now finally have names - and we played in a real barn burner this past Saturday eve that gave all the fans their money's worth!  Plus, it's week 5 for line 1 of our Score Pack Attack!

Holy smokes, do we have an action packed episode for you!

First, we tell you all about one of the most legendary teams in hockey history, the 1974-75 Philadelphia Flyers!  Known as the Broadstreet Bullies for their physically imposing brand of play, the Orange and Black attack was lead on the stats sheet by the fearsome foursome of Hart Trophy winner Bobby Clarke, Reggie Leach, Rick MacLeish and Bill Barber, whose skills to matched their teammates favour for hard-nosed play, including Dave "The Hammer" Schultz who still holds the NHL record for PIMS in a season with 472!!!  The real backbone of the team was all-time 'tendy Bernie Parent who recorded 12 shutouts on his way to back to back Vezina and Conn Smythe trophies!

In the second, we go coast to coast like ol' Rex Murphy, checking in with the 7 Canadian teams to find out who's hot, who's not and who appears to have a little work to do!  We love the Jets (of course), scratch our heads at the Oilers and Leafs and are hopeful the Habs and Sens!

Finally in the third, we've got a GHL update - 3 of 4 teams now have names, so get on it Team 4!  Tommy tells tales from the timekeepers box and we've got our weekly pack attack!

We're pre-recorded this week, so of course we went long - just remember kids, bonus hockey is always the best hockey! 

Hey there hockey fans, we're back on your airwaves ready to tell ya all about the 2006-07 Buffalo Sabres!  Nowadays, they're probably most famous for being the first squad to don the vaunted Buffaslug jerseys, but back then they were a pretty skilled team, taking home the President's Trophy with 113 points.  The team had a stellar tendy with Sabre's legend Ryan Miller between the pipes and boasted a balanced attack featuring 6 (!!!) twenty goal scorers.  Ultimately, as things often do for the PC Cup winner, the season ended in disappointment as they lost to Cup finalist Ottawa in 5 games.

In period two, we'll tell you what we're thankful for holiday wise, give you our predictions for the first coach to be fired, debut a brand new Stat Line of The Week Jingle and talk more big signings and Jet's player movement - is that action packed or what?!?

Finally in period three, we've got a GLH update for you - not only does our squad have a name, but we notched our first win as well, and your favourite co-hosts put some points on the board!  And we've got another instalment of our Score '91 pack attack as our top 6 rosters gain their third players!

We're here again, hitting the ice hard on all Hockey's Eve - that's right kids, tomorrow it's like Christmas morning for all the puck pals out there as the NHL officially kicks off season number 109!  

We've got lots to talk about, but first we need to follow up last week's historic Habs chat by telling you all about the talented, albeit pretty awful 1991-92 Quebec Nordiques.  This squad holds a soft spot for co-host Jared and featured a trio of excellent young guns - Joe Sakic, Mats Sundin and Owen Nolan.  Les Nords figured that they would add young phenom du jour Eric Lindros, but ol' #88 sat the year out as he had no desire to lace 'em up in La Belle Province.  He was shipped out the following summer for a king's ransom that helped the team turn their fortunes.  As was the case with a lot of the Quebec squads of the time, they were horrible between the pipes!  1991-92 was no different as four tendys, including the mighty Tugnutts combined to win 20 games - none won more than 7 games on the season.

In the second, we've got a whirlwind season preview for you - including predictions on divisional winners, award winners and maybe even a cup winner to boot!  We talk about the flurry of big contract signings, including the record bag for Kiril The Thrill.  How will this shape things going forward - we even put on a pair of Chevy's slacks and discuss KFC's pending raise.

In period three, we'll talk about opening night in the Garage League, tell you about the monthly award that we're sponsoring and we play this week's pack attack!

That's right the boys are back for Season 8 and we've a few new wrinkles to bring for all you fine listeners out there - first off, instead of players each week, we'll be devoting a deep dive to a great (or not so great) team from the NHL past.  And ya know we've gotta kick it off in style and talk about one of the best teams of all time - the 1976-77 Montreal Canadians!  This super squad went 60-8-12 on their way to another cup win, and featured names like Guy Lafleur, Guy Lapointe, Serge Savard, Steve Shutt, Bob Gainey, Larry Robinson, Jacques Lemaire, Yvan Cournoyer and of course the late, great Ken Dryden between the pipes!  They scored the most goals and allowed the least - that's how you get it done!

In period two, we catch you up on your Winnipeg Jets who are currently in the thick of the pre-season!  How is Tazer fitting in?  Who are the new rookies turning heads?  Who is on the roster bubble?  And is KFC gonna get the big bucket and decide to stick around for a while?

In the final frame, we talk about everyone's favourite local Thursday/Saturday skate - the Garage League!  We kick off this coming Saturday night with an action packed double header!
