The Author

Brad A. LaMar when he’s not fighting evil Withes and wizards is an educator who resides in the Indianapolis Metropolitan area in the US. He has taught science to middle school students for more than twenty-five-years. He is married to his wife Lori who he describes as a beautiful and supportive woman and has two grown up children Evan and Paige who are making their own way in the world. 

The idea for the Celtic Mythos series came from his love of science fiction and fantasy and the underutilized and abundantly rich folklore of the Celtic people. They are so much more than leprechauns! Brad has always loved a good story, and upon reaching the mythos of the Celtic Isles he became enthralled in the type of story he could create.

Brad especially enjoys the way a story makes a reader think, laugh and react. He has worked hard to bring about those experiences in his best selling YA fantasy series, Celtic Mythos.

The Books

The Obsidian Dagger
(Celtic Mythos Book One)

This book is aimed at 9–12-year-olds, the action- packed fantasy story is set in magical Ireland and Scotland featuring two American teenagers who happen to be brother and sister. Brendan and Lizzie O’ Neal.  A mad witch with extremely powerful magical powers who possesses an Obsidian Dagger threatens to eradicate mankind and overpower the magic clans of the Celtic Isles, Brendan and Lizzie are forced to intervene. They join forces with a desperate Princess Dorian of the Leprechauns and with her two loyal companions, Rory and Biddy. The story is wonderfully foretold over twenty-one chapters of highly creative imaginary writing and is all about the journey they undertake, the dangers and wonders they face as they venture across the Celtic lands to hamper the evil witch’s plans. Combating the witch’s mutated forces will test take their physical and mental strengths to new limits and beyond. Brendan quickly realises that the lines between reality, mythology and divinity can be extremely blurring at times.

(Celtic Mythos Book Two)

This second book in the series is twenty-two chapters of high-octane drama, from chance encounters, celebrations, Druids secrets, anxieties, plans, battles, pomp and circumstance and much, much more. (Celtic Mythos Book Three)
