On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran is joined by sports writer and podcast Joe Yerdon for their weekly Tuesday conversation, this time focused on the Buffalo Bills regaining the top spot in the AFC and the Buffalo Sabres continuing to play an entertaining brand of hockey.
The Bills handled their own business last Thursday in Foxboro and then sat back on Sunday and watched everything fall their way. With Kansas City and Miami both losing the Bills not only took over solo possession of first place in their division but pulled ahead of the Chiefs in the race for the top seed in the conference. The guys talk about the state of the Bills through their first 12 games and what they expect to see over the final five weeks of the regular season.
Meanwhile the Sabres aren’t making much noise in the standings but their young core continues to be worth watching each game. Patrick and Joe talk about things going on with the team from both the glass being half empty and full perspectives.
That plus they talk about Joe’s changes with his Noted Hockey Substack, Patrick getting over being sick, Joe's Detroit Lions staying in the hunt, a prediction on where Odell Beckham Jr. is headed and much more.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran is back after missing the past 12 days due to illness to discuss a picture-perfect weekend for the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres continuing to have shiny bright spots.
After discussing the reason behind no episodes for nearly two weeks Patrick dives into things playing out exactly the way the Bills had hoped on Sunday---both the Chiefs and Dolphins losing to put Buffalo firmly in control of their own destiny.
He also talks about the Sabres winning on Sunday night and approaches to take with the team depending if your glass is half full or empty. That and plenty more.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran discusses the things he liked the most and least with the Buffalo Bills victory over the Cleveland Browns in Detroit (yes, Detroit) on Sunday.
The Bills improved to 7-3 this season with a 31-23 over Cleveland in a game that got moved to Detroit because Orchard Park was literally snowed in. Patrick talked about the best parts of the game from the Bills perspective, including a running game that had it’s best showing of the season, a successful return for Jordan Poyer and individual performances from Matt Milano and Tyler Bass that could earn them conference accolades this week.
Patrick also goes over the things that went bad for Buffalo, especially the play of the cornerbacks and not doing an even decent job of replacing the injured Tremaine Edmunds.
That and much more today.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast it’s Casual Friday, which means Patrick Moran is joined by Aaron Quinn (Cover 1) to discuss a variety of topics, including how you as a fan should be feeling about the Buffalo Bills right now after their first nine games, the problems that've plagued them and what to be most excited about going forward.
The Bills have lost two straight games they should've won--there's no way around it and fans are getting antsy if not panicking. Ever the cool, calm and collected one, Aaron explains how he feels about this team as a whole right now and how fans should be feeling. The guys spend a good chunk of time talking about how much of a role injuries and turnovers have played in their losing three games by just a combined eight points as well as a look into the Cleveland game on Sunday.
The guys also spend time talking about this winter storm reportedly smashing through Western New York (potentially as you're reading this), Patrick angry at himself for premature Christmas celebration, deer smashing into cars, their least favorite things about podcasting and much more.

On today’s episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran is joined by writer and podcaster Joe Yerdon for their weekly Tuesday chat, this time focusing on the Buffalo Bills collapsing in the second half for a second consecutive week, Josh Allen suddenly becoming a problem and the Buffalo Sabres in the midst of a five-game losing streak.
The Bills blew a three score lead on Sunday and lost at home after leading by at least 14 points at the half for the first time since 1968. The guys talk about several key points of the game including Allen being fully responsible for three critical turnovers, injuries ravaging the Bills secondary finally catching up, the lack of a running game and some extremely questionable play calls and coaching decisions.
They also talk about the Sabres, who Joe insists are still playing well despite the five game losing streak that has them near the bottom of the Eastern conference standings. All that and much more.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast it’s Casual Friday, which means Patrick Moran is joined by Aaron Quinn (Cover 1) to discuss a variety of topics, including how the Bills and Sean McDermott should treat Josh Allen's elbow injury and how much confidence should be had in Case Keenum.
As tempting as it could be to get Allen right back on the field, the guys talk about the importance of playing the long game and also discuss the Bills running game needing to be better, including a take from O.J Simpson of all people. Also, Odell Beckham Jr. reportedly making a decision soon--is Buffalo still in play? Oh, and what's going on with Gave Davis's inconsistency?
They also do their weekly "The Medal Stand", awarding medals who who'd be the best Bills quarterback if it couldn't be Josh Allen and their favorite holidays---with results Patrick and Aaron completely disagree on. All that and much more.

On today’s episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran is joined by writer and podcaster Joe Yerdon for their weekly Tuesday chat, this time focusing on the Buffalo Bills falling apart in a shocking loss in New Jersey to the Jets as well as the Buffalo Sabres coming up short on both ends of a two-game road trip over the weekend.
The Bills were two score favorites but played horrendous in their loss to the Jets. The guys talk about Josh Allen having far and away his worst game of the season but the paling in comparison to his potentially injured elbow, no one on offense other than Stefon Diggs picking him up, getting beat in the trenches and other problems that surfaced for the Bills.
They also talk about the Sabres continuing to play mostly well despite recent losses at Carolina and Tampa. It’s a big week coming up for Buffalo, especially come Thursday night when Jack Eichel and Vegas come to town. All that and tons more.
