The Tampa Bay Rays had a rude welcoming back to Tropicana Field as the Detroit Tigers won 7-1 on Monday evening. Zack Littell had his first messy outing of the 2024 season allowing 5 earned runs in 6 innings on 86 pitches. Bats were mostly quiet and none louder as Randy Arozarena who is now hitting .149 with a .451 OPS in 87 ABs. Rays hitting coach Chad Mottola has been quoted by David Adler saying about Randy’s desire to use the opposite field this season, "Maybe it is [good] long-term," Mottola said. "Right now, it's not. You don't want to take anything away [from him], but you have to stick to your strengths.
