On today's episode, Jason kicks things off with a few thoughts on the Washington Commanders' upset victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. Taylor Heinicke is the kind of success story every sports fan loves to tell their kids about so it was pretty awesome to see him perform as well as he did on the big stage. His numbers don't jump off the page, but he's got all the moxie in the world and his teammates seem to love him. Don't look now...but the Commanders have an outside shot at the playoffs. On the flip side, everything that could go wrong did go wrong for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. They turned the ball over three times (which they never do), they lost the second quarter (which they never do) and the opposing kicker drilled two from 55+ yards out (which never happens); the perfect season is over. Later, J-Mac explains how Kliff Kingsbury's comments praising Colt McCoy were actually a veiled shot at starting quarterback Kyler Murray. The Kingsbury-Kyler dynamic has been off for a long time, and there have been rumors that teammates like Budda Baker and JJ Watt aren't big fans of Kyler either. This is definitely something that bears. Finally, our fearless leader closes the show with a very quick NBA whip around.
