This week, it's all about Team France! France is currently the 6th strongest team with an average Elo of 751. If each French rider chose their highest Elo-rated horse for the Olympics, the team would be. Who do you think will be on the team?
We also explore the Major League Show Jumping League (MLS). The MLS aims to elevate North American show jumping by adding CSI 5* events. Teams cost around $2 million to own, with an $800,000 yearly franchise fee. Jumping format: one round with two jump-offs. The top 4 teams from round 1 enter the first jump-off, and the second determines podium finishes. All 3 riders' scores count in round 1, and the top 4 teams advance to a shortened second round. The top 3 teams then compete in a final podium showdown. Prize money for each competition is $200,000, with an additional $500,000 for final season standings. Stay tuned for the next MLS competition in August!
