She made us a juicy Mezcal Orangarita that didn’t disappoint. Jenna has over 20 years experience in the industry, so of course we’re getting all up in her business about everything like the most obnoxious thing she’s ever seen, tips on bar etiquette, and her own personal bar rules. We are joined this week by our resident guest host, Mark Strong, from The House of Strong, who made us the beautifying cocktail: Spirulina Skin Sipper. Because skin is always in, this drink pulls double duty with the extra added hydration. We talk so much about internal nutrition that we decided it was time to dip our toes in the beauty industry. And oh boy is it nerve wracking. Did you know that the FDA does not regulate the ingredients that go into our beauty products? That includes hair and body, too. Some of the main ingredients to watch out for are: triclosan, fragrance, formaldehyde, phthalates, and parabens. These “not so good for you” ingredients are found all over the beauty industry in just about all products. Yikes! But don’t you worry; we aren’t in the business of talking about a problem without offering up solutions. We identified some excellent clean beauty companies that we found to be great resources for all types of products.

You may have seen this week’s triple threat guest, Emmy Raver-Lampman, in the Broadway Musical “Hamilton,” Netflix’s “Umbrella Academy” and most recently voicing the character Molly on Apple TV+, “Central Park.” She is booked and busy, so we were all too excited to get her in the studio to talk about her journey across the different mediums of art, whether she prefers the stage or TV/Film, self-care tips, how she explores a new city while working and everything in between.
