November 29, 2021 Teebs and KidPhoenix VS First Impressions (Doctor Who)
Today, Teebs and KidPhoenix provide a bit of an early Christmas present. It is a companion episode of season 1 of the Teebs and KidPhoenix VS podcast.
Earlier this season, KidPhoenix had expressed increased interest in starting "Doctor Who" -- one of the greatest science fiction television shows in history. It's always been a blind spot for the younger of your two hosts, and he finally decided to get in a TARDIS and start his adventure with his favorite companion, Teebs -- who is LIVE AND IN STUDIO with KidPhoenix in Philadelphia, PA.
So far, KidPhoenix has gone through up to Series 4 (the last series featuring David Tennant). In this one hour podcast, Teebs helps his younger, less inexperienced Doctor Who-Head brother organize everything he's seen through the first four series. What did KidPhoenix like? What did he not like? What would he like to see more of as he continues his journey through time and space with Matt Smith, Peter Cataldi and (eventually) Jodie Whittaker. From Daleks to "Masters"... From Rose Tyler to Donna Noble... and every protagonist, antagonist and support character in between, Teebs is helping KidPhoenix with all of it until a much larger Doctor Who podcast likely coming down the line.
The Brothers Royster will return in 2022 with Series 2 of the Teebs and KidPhoenix VS podcast. Until then, enjoy this early gift while you commence with your Cyber Monday shopping.

In part two of the epic season finale of Teebs and KidPhoenix VS, your hosts are back in their own personal "Hall H"!
Vince Alvendia and James Rowan continue the nerd summit with Attiba and Adio Royster for even more debate. In part two, the panel gets into the concept of reboot and sequel "fatigue". Are we experiencing it? What about new IP? With the flood of those reboots and sequels, where will the new shows come from and go? The next generation of nerds and consumers of nerd-dom are already here, and the panel get into what this generation looks like and what they like the most about them. Last, but not least, our panel is very antsy to get back to attending those "mega conventions" like San Diego Comic Con or New York Comic Con. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic still on the minds of nerds and non-nerds alike, will convention life change, and how can these organizations putting on these events alter their thinking to make conventions safe for panelists, vendors, and attendees.
