  • Podcast: Space based internet will have a serious impact on mobile carriers and the market even when 5G is deployed
We rarely get involved with the market, but some events cry out for comment.  One such current event that will be evolving over the next several years involves SpaceX and the Starlink network which started with 60 satellites in 2019 and as of August 2020, has reached 653.

    Andy Snyder

Andy Snyder, Founder, Manward Press discusses, with Don Witt, of The Channel Daily News, a TR publication, about the impact which would be huge. First, the 5G boom could go bust. We would no longer need short-distance cellular technology. It would be replaced by a connection that goes with us and follows us around.

Who are the players in this market? Elon Musk and Starlink, of course. But there’s also Telesat, Iridium, Amazon and even maybe Apple. Who in the established internet would be most affected? They are all piling into 5G in a big way. If they misstep and satellites beat them to the finish line, they’re in trouble.

Listen in to hear about this developing market.  This market can have a huge upside and is one that needs to be watched.

Andy Snyder is the founder of Manward Press, a premier source of unfiltered, unorthodox views on money and how the economy works. An American author, investor and serial entrepreneur, Andy used his MBA to cut his teeth at an esteemed financial firm with nearly $100 billion in assets under management. In the years that followed he became sought after for his outspoken market commentary.

Andy and his ideas have been featured on Fox News, on countless radio stations, and in numerous print and online outlets. He’s been a keynote speaker and panelist at events all over the world, from four-star ballrooms to Senate hearing rooms, and rubbed shoulders with lawmakers, lobbyists and Washington insiders. He’s had lunch with John McCain... fished with the America’s largest landowner... and even appeared on the Christmas card of one of Hollywood’s top producers.

  • Podcast: TessaB – Disrupting technology for used phone sales & purchasing through their Glyde Marketplace
Is it time to get a new phone?  WAIT – DO NOT TRADE YOUR OLD PHONE IN. SELL IT YOURSELF on the Glyde Marketplace!

The traditional method of purchasing your phone from the phone carrier is changing. You do not have to trade your old phone in and accept 40% to 60% or more below the market value of your phone.

    Flavio Mansi

Flavio Mansi, CEO of TessaB, explains to Don Witt of the Channel Daily News, a TR publication, how they are disrupting this decades old channel practice of locking people into expensive long-term contracts while they buy their new phone.

Flavio describes the process which is very straight forward. First it is based on blockchain, so the process is secure and safe. Second, the system will identify your phone, then run diagnostics. A factory reset will be performed and then place the phone on their Glyde Marketplace where it will be matched to a buyer. From there, the blockchain process take over. The money is placed into escrow for the purchase. The phone is then shipped. The money is not provided to the seller until the phone is received and working for the purchaser.

TessaB Corp. is a technology company developing a blockchain platform to solve market inefficiencies in the used mobile phone industry, announced the launch of the Glyde Marketplace (Glyde). Glyde launched this month and is ushering in the future of buying and selling used phones by harnessing new technologies to provide buyers and sellers a higher level of transparency and security, thereby allowing consumers to cut out the many industry middlemen who needlessly drive-up prices.

Their goal is to eliminate inefficiencies and also instill trust between mobile buyers and sellers. The biggest barrier to purchasing a used phone is lack of confidence in the condition of the phone the buyer will receive. That is why they have selected blockchain and other innovative technologies to create a more transparent, secure, and efficient marketplace for used phones.

  • Podcast: Secondary Market Becomes A Primary Resource In A Year Of Crises
According to Joseph Marion, President of the ASCDI, 2020 was the year that the secondary market became a primary resource for industry and enterprises. The US federal government and the European Union were among the entities to deem the secondary market as essential and vital. In this podcast Todd Bone, Chairman of the ASCDI, joins Marion, as they review an eventful year for the world and for the companies that the ASCDI serves. Bone points out that it was a bad year for new equipment, with supply chains disrupted and installation made more difficult with onsite restrictions. Meanwhile the secondary market products and services available from ASCDI member companies, became a critical and reliable resource for many companies and organizations. ASCDI companies were in stock on products that became unavailable elsewhere.

Marion discusses how the ASCDI reached out to more members and people than ever as seasonal in person meetings were replaced by monthly online gatherings, presentations, and more. The ASCDI took on ITAD, pushing a higher standard for going green. Looking into the future, Bone discusses the circular economy where the vision is to ultimately end waste. In the rising circular economy, once manufactured, a product is repurposed for continuous use. As we peer into 2021, the leaders see their organization as being at the center of a new economic era.
