Tesla reported it's Q2 2025 earnings last night and the stock is down almost 9% today. There was a ton of useful information in the conference call, but I felt like Elon's vibe was off. He hasn't been paid since 2018, and because of that his ownership in Tesla is much lower than it should be. I'm worried this is holding back the potential for an XAI merger and is a material risk to Tesla. Now the company is betting everything on AI and Robotics ... Elon expects the vehicle business to stay flat (or be weak) for the next ~4 quarters, then Robotaxi will begin to ramp. Targets for Optimus are 100K units/month by the year 2030.
