🎙️ IT’S FIGHT WEEK! 🥊🔥
Ryan Garcia has TWO fights brewing — one inside the ring and another outside it.
Days before Garcia defends his WBC welterweight title against Conor Benn on September 12 at T-Mobile Arena, his war of words with retired pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford has gone nuclear. Crawford dismissed talk of a comeback fight with Garcia, Ryan fired back personally, and now Garcia says if Crawford wants to keep talking, he can come out of retirement and fight.
Meanwhile, the scale may be becoming Benn’s most dangerous opponent. Benn has openly admitted getting back to 147 is “hard” and “brutal” and says this will be his final fight at welterweight.
Is Benn sacrificing too much to make weight? Does Garcia capitalize? And could all this Crawford smoke eventually become an actual fight?
Let’s cook.

🎙️ Andy Ruiz Jr.’s comeback has crashed into a Polish wall. Damian Knyba dropped and outpointed the former unified heavyweight champion, raising serious questions about whether Ruiz’s championship days are officially over.
Meanwhile, Katie Taylor delivered the Hollywood ending. In front of 83,000 at Croke Park, the Irish icon dominated Flora Pili, became undisputed at 140 pounds again and walked away from boxing on top.
Then comes the rumor that could set boxing on fire — or make everybody uncomfortable. Manny Pacquiao, 47, is negotiating another return, and undefeated four-division champion Shakur Stevenson is among the names under discussion.
Would beating a 47-year-old legend actually enhance Shakur’s legacy? Or is Pacquiao still dangerous enough to turn a supposed showcase into a nightmare?
TBV breaks down a wild weekend and boxing’s latest generational dilemma.

🎙️ IT’S FIGHT WEEK! 🥊🔥
Ryan Garcia defends his WBC welterweight championship against Conor Benn September 12 in Las Vegas—but is Benn fighting Ryan Garcia or the scale first?
Benn admits getting back to 147 pounds has been brutal after years fighting above welterweight, and he’s already talking about potentially campaigning as high as 168 afterward. Does draining himself give Garcia the biggest advantage of the fight?
Plus, Jai Opetaia battles Noel Mikaelian in a major cruiserweight showdown, former champion Mark Magsayo faces undefeated Andres Cortes, and unbeaten heavyweight Da’Mazion Vanhouter gets the dangerous Raphael Akpejiori.
And BREAKING: Richardson Hitchins and Keyshawn Davis are reportedly in advanced negotiations for a welterweight collision later this year.
Fight Week is loaded. Let’s talk boxing! 🥊

🎙️ BOXING IS BACK ON CABLE — BUT CAN TNT MAKE IT STICK?
Andy Ruiz Jr. returns tonight against 6-foot-7 Damian Knyba in Newark, with Ruiz weighing a surprisingly lean 254.3 pounds compared with Knyba’s 255.5.
But tonight could be bigger than one heavyweight comeback. TNT’s first two boxing broadcasts reached a combined 5.6 million unique viewers, raising a fascinating question: can traditional television help boxing reconnect with the casual American sports fan?
🔥 Plus: Ryan Garcia vs. Conor Benn is coming September 12 on Paramount+, with a reported movie-theater viewing option creating another way to experience the fight.
And has Deontay Wilder suddenly moved much closer to another WBC heavyweight title opportunity without throwing a punch?
We break down the fights, politics, rankings, and BUSINESS behind boxing’s latest moves.

🎙️ Oleksandr Usyk has apparently picked the final gunfighter for his “last dance”—Deontay Wilder.
Usyk’s team is targeting March 2027 in the United States, with talks continuing for a fascinating clash between Usyk’s movement, intelligence and championship experience and Wilder’s legendary right hand. No official date, venue or deal has been announced.
Plus, former unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. returns September 4 in Newark against 6-foot-7 Damian Knyba, attempting to shake off more than two years of inactivity.
And the fallout continues from Filip Hrgovic’s stunning ninth-round TKO of Moses Itauma. Itauma dominated the scorecards before exhaustion turned the fight upside down. Now the question gets uncomfortable: was this simply a 21-year-old learning a championship lesson—or did Ben Davison and Itauma’s team fail to properly prepare him?
Three heavyweight stories. Plenty to argue about.

🎙️ The coronation became a crash course.
Moses Itauma looked spectacular early against Filip Hrgovic, dropping the Croatian in Round 2 and controlling much of the fight with his speed and explosive combinations. Then came the championship rounds—and everything changed.
Hrgovic survived, stayed composed and watched the 21-year-old prospect’s gas tank disappear before stopping him in the ninth round to capture the vacant IBF heavyweight championship.
Now the questions begin.
Was Itauma pushed into a world-title fight too soon? How much responsibility belongs to trainer Ben Davison? Did Abel Sanchez and Hrgovic expose the difference between talent and experience?
And most importantly: where do BOTH heavyweights go from here?
Hrgovic has a mandatory problem named Frank Sanchez. Itauma has something potentially more valuable: time.

🎙️ The coronation became a catastrophe.
Moses Itauma entered London expected to announce himself as boxing’s next heavyweight king. Instead, Filip Hrgovic survived the storm, dragged the young phenom into deep water and dramatically stopped him in Round 9 to capture the vacant IBF heavyweight championship.
Itauma started fast, hurt Hrgovic repeatedly and even scored a second-round knockdown. But Hrgovic refused to disappear. As Itauma’s pace faded, experience, durability and pressure changed everything. At 2:27 of the ninth, the fight was over. Hrgovic became Croatia’s first heavyweight world champion while Itauma suffered the first defeat of his professional career.
Was Itauma pushed to a world title too soon? Did Hrgovic expose a stamina problem—or simply teach a 21-year-old prospect the most valuable lesson of his career?
Tonight, TBV breaks down an unforgettable heavyweight upset.

🎙️ Moses Itauma says he believes he’s already the best heavyweight alive — he just hasn’t proved it yet. On Saturday, August 29, the 21-year-old phenomenon gets his chance to turn hype into hardware against Filip Hrgović for the vacant IBF heavyweight championship at London’s O2 Arena.
Plus, Shakur Stevenson is 25-0, riding high after dominating Teofimo Lopez, and has signed with Zuffa Boxing. With speculation surrounding Manny Pacquiao, what should we make of Shakur working around Floyd Mayweather? Master teaching apprentice — or something bigger brewing?
And Floyd keeps expanding the “Money Team” brand. We examine reports surrounding The Money Team Legal Network and ask whether boxing’s ultimate businessman has found another lane outside the ring.
🔥 Three stories. One loaded TBV debate.

🎙️ BORDER WARS 20 IS TAKING SHAPE — BUT WE NEED YOU! 🥊🔥
The plan is to bring Border Wars back to Florida at School of Hard Knocks in Casselberry, home of Jason Galarza.
We already have our first community fight locked in:
🥊 Rich-O vs Anthony Forbes
And another matchup appears to be brewing:
🔥 Ray Rodriguez vs Zi Pachino
But here's the reality: we need more fights before we can approach USA Boxing and secure a date.
Mike in Omaha isn't fighting Player Price. So does Price revisit unfinished business with Rocky Rodriguez? Rocky was forced to withdraw when they were scheduled to meet earlier this year.
And don't forget Bust'em Up. After that tough battle with K Banga, he's already thrown his name into the Player Price sweepstakes.
Border Wars needs fighters, sponsors and community support.
It's time to find out who really wants smoke.
