🎙️ The welterweight division is turning into boxing’s hottest pressure cooker.
Richardson Hitchins and former WBO champion Brian Norman Jr. are trading shots on X, and Norman’s response is simple: let’s fight. Hitchins is 21-0 after shutting out Ricardo Salas in his 147-pound debut, while Norman is rebuilding after losing his WBO crown to Devin Haney.
Then comes the MONEY question: Is Ryan Garcia already being lined up for Teofimo Lopez? Chris Mannix believes Garcia could be next for Teofimo regardless of what happens against Conor Benn—but Jack Catterall has a mandatory claim that cannot simply be ignored.
Plus, we preview and predict Brandon Moore vs. former world-title challenger Bryant Jennings and break down Saturday’s Detroit card.
🔥 Hitchins-Norman: who wins?
💰 Ryan-Teofimo or Catterall first?
🥊 Can Jennings turn back the clock?

🎙️ History is staring Moses Itauma directly in the face.
This Saturday, August 29, the unbeaten 21-year-old heavyweight sensation faces Filip Hrgovic at London’s O2 Arena for the vacant IBF heavyweight championship on DAZN PPV. Itauma enters 14-0 with 12 knockouts after stopping durable veteran Jermaine Franklin in five, while Hrgovic is 20-1 with 15 KOs after demolishing Dave Allen in three.
Then we turn to Texas: Vergil Ortiz Jr. is exploring a jump to 160 pounds, with former undisputed junior-middleweight champion Jermell Charlo among his targets. Does Ortiz really need another division—or does he need his first full world championship? And after nearly three years away, is Charlo still an elite fighter or the perfect big-name target?
🔥 Two fights. Two wildly different career crossroads.

🎙️ Teofimo Lopez is officially a three-division world champion — but winning Rolly Romero’s WBA welterweight title may have come with strings attached.
Jack Catterall says the WBA’s 180-day mandate puts him next in line, while Teofimo is already talking about bigger prizes: Liam Paro, Devin Haney and the winner of Ryan Garcia vs. Conor Benn.
Meanwhile, Rolly Romero insists he was robbed, claims Teofimo barely landed anything and says politics cost him his championship. But do the numbers — and the actual fight — support Rolly’s version of events?
We break down Teofimo’s road to undisputed, Catterall’s mandatory claim, whether boxing politics can push Jack aside, Rolly’s demand for a rematch and the business decisions that could reshape the welterweight division.

🎙️ Claressa Shields is collecting belts — and enemies. The GWOAT dropped three divisions and stopped Kaye Scott in six rounds to capture the WBA and WBC middleweight titles in Atlanta. But does dominating a 42-year-old opponent with only seven previous professional fights enhance Shields’ legacy, or expose the lack of credible opposition around her?
Then we unpack Shields’ explosive Nightcap comments involving Alycia Baumgardner and Amanda Serrano. Is the trash talk justified, or are massive weight differences being ignored?
PLUS: Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs. Jermell Charlo is back in the conversation. Could an all-Texas showdown become Ortiz’s next major fight — and does the former undisputed champion still have enough left to derail one of boxing’s most dangerous young pressure fighters?
🔥 TBV breaks it ALL down.

🥊 Bill Haney is turning up the heat on Jaron “Boots” Ennis, accusing the undefeated unified 154-pound champion of ducking Devin Haney and claiming Boots’ kryptonite is elite boxing and a straight right hand. Did Xander Zayas expose a real vulnerability before Ennis stormed back to stop him?
Then we break down the latest Hamzah Sheeraz-Janibek Alimkhanuly mandatory reports and what a dangerous clash between the two could look like at 168.
Plus, Keyshawn Davis walked away from his WBO-mandated shot at Devin Haney — and Brian Norman Jr. could be waiting. Davis was entitled to approximately $2.14 million from Top Rank’s winning purse bid, while the widely circulated $3 million figure remains unconfirmed.
Was Keyshawn’s decision smart business, or did he walk away from the bigger prize for an even more dangerous fight?
