Tonight, we discuss the bombshell fight announcement from earlier today when we learned that WBC/Lineal middleweight champion of the world Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will be defending his title against Amir Khan at a catch weight of 155lbs. Even fresh off of one of the biggest fights of his career – a win over Miguel Cotto last year – Canelo is determined to prove he is willing to make the biggest matchups possible.

Canelo and Khan will take place in Las Vegas, likely at the new T-Mobile arena scheduled to open in April, but the site is not yet determined. However, we do know that the mega showdown will happen May 7th on HBO PPV. The announcement sent shockwaves through the boxing world, specifically through social media. Now, we attempt to bring together and discuss all the excitement, all the concerns and all of the speculation that makes this fight so important. And, of course, we will be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people. From Alumni to first-time callers, we encourage everyone to call 646-478-3068 to voice your opinion. Sergey Kovalev was victorious over Jean Pascal for the second time in his career tonight as he hopped in the DeLorean with his trainer John David Jackson and came out to find he was staring in “Groundhog Day” with Adonis Stevenson.

For the second time in his career, Kovalev stopped Jean Pascal in the middle rounds of their championship fight in front of a raucous crowd at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, live in the main event of World Championship Boxing on HBO.

Tune in as we discuss the changes between the two fighters since their first fight and what significance the rematch holds as compared to the last time the pair met.

Deontay Wilder (36-0, 35KO’s) made the third successful defense of his WBC heavyweight title, the same title he won only a year ago against Bermane Stiverne in Las Vegas. A year later and Wilder has expanded his market by fighting for the first time in his career at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The crowd, which seemed highly agitated all night, was very vocal and into event’s happenings. However, it was unclear where the majority’s loyalties lied as boos were scattered for both Wilder and his opponent, Artur Szpilka, who many assumed would have a large Polish fan-base in attendance to aid him in his role as the fan-favorite on the evening.

Floyd Mayweather saying UFC champ Conor McGregor can be as brash and arrogant as he wants without catching any heat ... because of the color of his skin.

Mayweather did an interview with the guys over at FightHype.com last week, and when the subject of the flamboyant McGregor came up ... Mayweather went off.

"He talks a lot trash, and people praise him for it, but when I did it, they say I'm cocky and arrogant. So biased."

He goes on to say ... "I ain't racist at all, but I'm telling you racism still exists."
