This week we are so excited to welcome our work friends, Danielle and Karen to the pod! In a long overdue guest appearance, they discuss with Crissy and Anne the 1980 film, "9 to 5". The ladies note how little has progressed in the workplace for women, how much has changed with technology and how no one can find the current office printer.
Plus, Bruce Willis gets a category unto himself at the Razzies (something Muldoon can aspire to), a man swipes right and finds himself a dad and there's a new scientific study that says attractive people may have more going for them than looks alone.
We thank Karen and Danielle for coming on and hope you enjoy our water cooler conversation!

This episode had Anne and Crissy laughing from beginning to end. We can feel the eye rolls already but just hear this out: "Alpha Wolf", the Patrick Muldoon/Casper Van Dien collaboration is not a waste of 88 minutes. In fact, it breaks new ground in the classic werewolf cannon and might just give you a chuckle or two. Yes, the laughs are unintentional, but isn't that the best kind of funny? Our friend and fellow Muldoon/VanDien aficionado, John is back to break it all down with us.
Plus, a Russian museum needs a better background check. And there's something rotten in Rotterdam and the locals are pointing fingers at Jeff Bezos.
This one has to go on your must-play list. Thank you for listening!

A former reality show contestant had a business idea that was a real gas. Find out how it landed her in the hospital. Plus, the truly "life is stranger than fiction" story of a couple who adopted a child with dwarfism and then had serious doubts as to whether or not she was actually a child. And is Dr. Phil actually a doctor?
Plus, THE Valentine's Day movie, "Love Story". This was first time viewing for both Crissy and Anne. Find out if they were as swept away by this Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw romance as movie goers have been for generations.
One note, last week there was some difficulty with Apple podcasts. If you missed our last episode ("Say Anything"), please know it is now up and running.
Thank you for listening. Happy Valentine's Day!

As if high school weren't filled with enough anxiety, along comes the Promposal to inject even more stress into an already emotionally fraught situation. However, one high school Connecticut boy not only got his "yes" but the moment went viral. Find out why everyone is going "aw". Plus, a man is swept away in the horrific Tonga tsunami and lives to tell a tale of incredible survival and an update on the Guinness Book of World Records. One man set a new record every week for a full year. Now Anne ("I don't have the heart of a champion") and Crissy are determined to get their own record. Any suggestions? Wrapping someone in cling wrap is already spoken for.
And we couldn't resist watching another Cusack movie. This week it's "Say Anything", the Lloyd Dobler classic. Anne and Crissy reveal some movie trivia, ponder whether or not Lloyd and Diane stay together and debate which Cusack character they prefer, Lloyd or Walter ("The Sure Thing"). It's really a no brainer.

Love is in the air this week. First, Crissy's love of the post office (no joke) shines through in a story of a letter from WWII being delivered 76 years later! Then, a daughter's love for her father leads them to share experiences of a lifetime. And a woman goes on a blind date and gets stuck with him in a COVID lockdown. Will a love connection be made?
Plus, we welcome Crissy's college friend, Dale, an All-American hockey player. Dale graciously agreed to come one the podcast to educate both Crissy and Anne about hockey (which they clearly know nothing about). And they discuss the 1992 Winter Olympic film, "The Cutting Edge". It's an education for Dale as well as to the caliber of movies Anne and Crissy choose.
This is a fun one!

This week there are not one but two podcast must-sees! First you need to see the Israeli experiment whereby a fish (in it's tank) navigates across a room to reach some food. Truly something out of a Dr. Seuss book.
And then you need to do yourself a favor and re-watch or watch for the first time, "Night Shift". This 1982 comedy starring Michael Keaton, Henry Winkler and Shelley Long is an oft-forgotten gem. The scene where Michael Keaton breaks down the meaning of the word "prostitution" is worth the price of admission. Which for now is like 3 bucks on YouTube - c'mon that's a no-brainer.
And the people of Paris are dancing in the streets that the 20 year battle to deregulate French dressing has finally been won. Actually the people of Paris probably are completely clueless about this but you heard it here first. And some cats have taken a Vitamix box hostage and they are not negotiating.
So much outrage this week and we're just the gals to bring it all to you.
Thank you for listening!

Get ready to laugh because Anne has a lot to say about the Drew Barrymore, cult classic film, "Poison Ivy". Crissy can't even bring herself to type some of the things Anne says but knowing this is an erotic thriller (her favorite genre) will provide a big clue as to the territory this film goes to (and along with it, leading man, Tom Skerritt).
Plus, Tinsley the German shepherd overcomes his unfortunate name to rescue his owner, a deer finds itself dazed and confused in the back of a car, the German Bogdanoff twins have had their last Botox injection and a curling tournament that's NSFW? We're covering it all in this week's ep. Honestly, this one is funny.

We are kicking off the New Year with a new season! Season 3 promises everything you've come to love about season 2 but now with a 3 in front of it.
And to start the New Year off right, we have life coach, Tanya Jones on the podcast. Tanya offers up some great advice on how to make positive changes to achieve your goals. Just don't say "New Year, new you" - she doesn't like that. Tanya also weighs in on perhaps the ultimate movie about personal transformation, "Eat, Pray, Love." She provides a good counterbalance to Anne who finds the story long and insufferable and Crissy who couldn't focus on anything other than Julia Roberts' shapeless wardrobe.
Plus we talk about the 11 year old boy who committed not one but two acts of heroism in a single day (somebody make a movie about him) and the Secret Santa gift that had one woman calling HR.
It's a great start to 2022! Thank you for listening.
And find Tanya at yourlifecoached.com. She's a sheer delight!

This week we return to our love of the animal kingdom with a story of a crow who could talk and had a lot to say about people trying to take him away from an Oregon elementary school. Plus, a cheating scandal rocks a camel beauty pageant - that hump didn't get so shapely on its own. And a Louisiana woman insists on being arrested and another poses as her daughter to attend college. Why?
And we end the year with the inexplicably beloved Christmas film, "Love Actually." Currently on regular TV, we suggest you check it out and then see if you can explain why people have so much affection for this film. Anne was particularly outraged by this movie and this is a woman who loves "Ice Spiders."
We'll be taking a week off and then will kick off the New Year with a new episode. Spend the down week catching up on all you missed - there are 48 quality episodes to choose from.
Until then, happy holidays, happy New Year and thank you for listening!

Based on this week's stories, we can safely say, the world is starting to lose it. First of all, in a story that makes the peacock support animal look strictly minor league, we cover the story of a woman who tried to breast feed her cat on an airplane. Then we talk about the wedding where the groom wasn't present but a Stanley steamer sure came in handy. And the engagement announcement that raised more questions than it answered.
Plus, we talk about the outrageous yet beloved (?) holiday film, "The Family Stone". Why it's beloved is up for debate but what we can say for sure is that Anne came up with a way better ending. Without exaggeration, Anne's ending would catapult this film into the pantheon of the greats. Re-write please!
With one week to go until Christmas we're feeling stressed, optimistic, festive and ready to stage an intervention to get that poor cat away from its owner.
Take a listen while out for that last minute shopping!
