Amanda and Raquel both had weeks from diabetes hell! Amanda's 5 year old type 1 diabetic daughter had an illness that resulted in large ketones being present for hours on end PLUS the worst low she's ever had just 30 minutes after Thanksgiving dinner. You think you know what to do when a severe low hits or when ketones are present, but what if the tools you know aren't working!? Tune in to hear what, exactly, happened, and how Amanda and her daughter managed to escape a trip to the Emergency Department.
