Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by offering his thoughts on last night’s 6ABC airing of The 1619 Project, which he found fascinatingly inaccurate, telling that he’ll be joined by Peter W. Wood, President of the National Association of Scholars, who penned a response titled The 1620 Project. Then, Dom offers an updated take on the DeSantis v. Trump race to become the Republican nominee for President, telling of an Axios article that examines the pronunciation of DeSantis’s name and a trend of his campaign pronouncing it with a more Italian-vibe as time goes on.

Then, Dom welcomes in Peter W. Wood, President of the National Association of Scholars and author of The 1620 Project: A Critical Response to the 1619 Project, back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss The 1619 Project, a Hulu documentary that was played Wednesday night nationwide on ABC affiliates. Wood takes us inside both his project and 1619 by Nikole Hannah-Jones, expressing multiple inaccuracies written into her re-written account of history. Wood offers multiple examples of historical reporting that offers falsehoods in effort to paint a certain picture of slavery and human rights issues during the foundational years of our Country. Then, Wood offers his opinion on the decision by Disney and ABC to show the documentary on network television, with both offering the negative implications of presenting this type of propaganda.
