Dhruvin Patel is the founder and CEO of Ocushield, which began as a company that created blue light blocking products such as phone and laptop screen covers. In the years since Dhruvin started the company, he has been on Dragon's Den (UK version of Shark Tank), he has been shouted out by iconic entrepreneur Richard Branson, and has received the King's Award which was presented to him by King Charles himself in Buckingham Palace.

Imagine you have the recipe to the most delicious cake you've ever tasted. You have all the ingredients in front of you. The recipe states the cake needs to bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. But you're in a hurry so you crank the heat and hope it bakes perfectly... just a few minutes sooner. Of course, it does not. We forgot that TIME is actually one of the key ingredients.

This same theory applies to our lives and professional careers. There may be a financial goal, a partnership, a status that you hope to achieve. You might see that someone who is 5-10 year senior to you have achieved this goal and you want to achieve it sooner. It is important to remember that time was an important ingredient in their success. And so it will be in yours.

This is Active Patience. Working hard towards your goal but also allowing for the time it will take for the universe to bring your goals to fruition.
