Host and New York Liberty beat reporter Jackie Powell does a solo fireside chat where she shares what she saw spending her Thursday watching the New York Liberty celebrate their franchise’s first ever WNBA championship. She explains the historical significance of New York’s Canyon of Heroes parade, and how the Liberty and their fans took advantage of a ticker tape parade. What were the best fan signs? (Hint: there was a Leonie Fiebich and Chappell Roan crossover.) How did Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones interact with the fans? Later, Jackie explains what she took away from the ceremony that took place following the parade at City Hall. How did Ellie the Elephant steal the show? She’ll tell you.
