  • S3E10 - "As bright as the highlighter pen of a 2 percenter"

In both Series 1 and 2, episode 10 was a time for Katie and Alexa to check in and get back to basics…getting all down and dirty in the business of being brutally honest about #actorslife. And Series 3 is no different!! Life, lockdown, work (or…lack of) and everything in between.

We never thought we'd do a podcast series being 4000 miles away from each other and we are so thankful for your support during these tumultuous times. • S3E9 - "You're caught in this Catch 22"

Producers. Actors know that we have to impress them. That they're a vital part of any production, be it theatre or screen...perhaps even the most important person in the room. But what's behind the curtain? Alexa and Katie realised that in all their years of being in the performing industry, they didn't actually know exactly *what* producers do and why they make the decisions they do. But actors shall wonder no more!! This episode's guests are Francesca Moody and Craig Tuohy. Francesca works in theatre and Craig works in film so all producing angles are covered in this special 2 for 1 episode! Francesca tells of her experiences from working in fringe theatre (not sure if you've heard of a little thing called Fleabag?) all the way to London's West End and all the not so fancy stuff that goes on behind the scenes for theatre producers. Craig enlightens listeners particularly about independent film and how producers get projects from script to screen. Also, what producers look for in auditions, how to interact with producers on set and the frustrations and highlights of working in film. These extremely candid conversations are incredibly helpful for actors at any point in their career!

Ever wondered what an artistic director of a theatre actually does?! Ever felt too silly to ask?! Well...you're not alone. Paul-Ryan Carberry joins the podcast this episode. He is an actor-turned-director and now Artistic Director of Iris Theatre, a theatre company producing work at the world-famous St. Paul's Church in Covent Garden with a mission to produce a fresh and vibrant repertoire of varied work resulting in affordable and accessible theatre while championing new talent from the 98!
