There's dress for success. There's dressing to go out. There's dressing for work and play, and of course, dressing for sleep, but is there dressing for ADHD? I know that when I get dressed in more than PJs to get to work on my day I feel more creative. I don't know the reason why, but I feel better. I feel like I'm ready to get to work even though I'm retired. I mean I still want to do a podcast or shoot a video and that's work, but it really isn't to me. It's fun stuff that I get to do now that I'm retired so why do I feel the need to be dressed to do that?
I see coaches as a valuable waste of our time and theirs. I don't believe in wasting my time or someone else's. Why should I go to a coach when I can do it myself? It's just knowing how to coach myself. It isn't that difficult being we are an expert in ourselves. No one is a better expert than us, right!
Last week, I spoke with someone when I was at a loss for the correct word. It happened when the other person or I said something that triggered that dormant thought from weeks ago. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it causes some serious havoc, but they happen, and we have to roll with the punches. Listen in for more.
I've been reading about some podcasters who are producing shows with white noise as their podcast. That's it just white noise all the time. I know white noise is helpful and I've used it for going to sleep, but as a writing aid or problem-solving aid, it doesn't work for me. I need my music and I pick what music I need for the moment. How about you? Let me know your thoughts here.
Support from friends, family and even enemies once in a while is something we want and need. It may be for something easy or hard, but we like that support, don't we? We look for it when it isn't there, after having it for so long. We miss it. We long for it, and we want it. We need to know that even without the support we expect, we can do what we set out to do. It may be harder without our support, but it is possible. Try it sometime.
Here I go thinking again!!! I'm trying to think of a course for ADHD that doesn't teach but gets a message across. It could be based on the podcasts for background, but I'm not sure where to go from there. I will be talking a great deal about this idea, so be ready and hit me up with your thoughts at mark&patti. Thanks in advance for your help.
Creativity is a gift, and when you have ADHD, I believe we get an overabundance of creativity flowing through our brains. Sometimes it flows a little too fast, and other times, it just doesn't flow at all, but you can be assured at some point in the day that you will get overflowed with creativity, so be ready!
Sorry about yesterday. My attention was concentrated on stuff around here. I organized the desk and fixed an issue with my computer, which took up more time than I figured. Then I dealt with News Break and my site Del Paggio's Cucina (click on the name to check out the site). It was just one of those days. But I'm here to tell you about it, and more listen in now.
The beginning of the beginning. A thought-searching adventure that may end up being nothing or something huge. It all comes down to the perception of others and more about how I present the idea. I will need to be highly visual in my presentation, so you'll be getting the inside take on the presentation as it develops.
Death and taxes are real, as they say. You can't hide or run away from either. However, you could run away from taxes if you found a country that won't extradite you back to the US. Anyway, ideas come quickly, and many times we procrastinate. Why? A dream is a project waiting to happen. It's waiting for you to make it happen by posting it out there. By investing in it either with your heart and soul or money if you have it. We often wait to start or share our dream, and then, due to an act of God, we can't do that. I say do that now. Make that dream you had this morning or whenever it happened.
