Today is one of those days where I need to talk about ideas in my brain. There are only two, but they are central to everything I am working on right now. It seems monumental to start a pizza task, but I believe it's doable with the right people. So listen in and let me know.
I get ideas almost every night, but many of them are forgettable. The great idea I had at around 2-3 am is gone and forgotten by the time I wake up. I know I had an idea, but the idea is lost. Then there are the nights like last night where the thought stays with me. Then I need to get it out of my head and down on paper if it lasts that long, which I did today and also on here.
Dilemmas are crazy. If it's your dilemma, it's your problem, but what happens then if it's someone else's dilemma and you're brought into it? Does it become yours just because, or maybe you take a very personal stake in it, or is it your just because? I was in that position this weekend so listen to my thoughts.
I know some of you will think this isn't funny, but for me, it is. The joke is on me each time these events happen. You would think I would know how to deal with these moments, but you'll get an idea of my thoughts if you listen in. It isn't that I don't know how to deal with them. I don't because I am so confident I'll remember. Listen in for more.
Change is always good. It's not always easy to make changes, but once in a while it's needed and it's time to change. Patti and I are in that time frame right now. It has nothing to do with this podcast as of now. It has to do with other things going on and I talk a little about them in today's podcast. Here's the link I promised: Del Paggio's Cucina
ADHD is hard enough on us, but it can get more challenging when it comes to relationships with family, friends, and even enemies. It's usually in the comments behind our backs that it gets more challenging to deal with. I know I can handle it when someone confronts me about my ADHD, but when they do it behind my back, it gets to me, and that's when I find the urge to deal with it then and there. How do you feel?
I love doing this podcast. It helps me get centered with my life and everything going on. Since you're a listener, I spend a great deal of time, actually all of the time, talking about myself. Aren't you tired of that? For me, it's therapeutic, but what about you? Don't you want something different? Do you want to stop talking about my stuff? Do you want me to shut the podcast down? Has it gone on too long? I'm open to your suggestions, so hit me up at [email protected] or click here.
I don't get it. In fact, I don't want to get it. Every day I hear of more mental health issues being attributed to ADHD, and it bothers me that all of these issues can be lumped together. I guess anything is possible, but when did it become okay to keep stockpiling this stuff together. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know at [email protected] or click here.
There are no special tricks or tips when dealing with the ups and downs of ADHD. It's all about you and how you need to deal with them as they come up. The good thing is you have it within yourselves to deal with those emotions and come out for the better. Take the time to invest in your ADHD, it'll be worth it in the end.
I brought this up today because I see this issue as a world issue. I'll bet many adults/parents are having the same issue our daughter is having with her kids and their homework. For me, it's a personal issue that I feel others are going through also. So that makes it a world issue. So how do you handle it when the kids refuse to do homework?
