Everyone has days where they wish they had stayed in bed or could redo the day. That's what I have today—a day of negativity that is shocking and testing the force within. Once in a while, we need one of those days. Just not too often. Don't forget to signup for our Texting feature, where you can text us, and we can answer. Just click on Mark & Patti
Here we go. Practice time is upon you. It's easier to learn when you practice. We have some new things also. A way to text with us privately. I'm going to throw the link in here and you can sign up. It's free except for texting costs by carrier not by us.
Here it is Text Mark & Patti See you tomorrow with more exercises.
We're going to start with the easy stuff. I can't say in honesty that it's easy. For some people I've taught they flew through this beginning exercise with ease. Others like me had issues. No matter it's where and how you start.
It's not easy. It's not for everyone. It's not even fun to do for some, but for me, it works. It's not the best thing since sliced bread for most, but it is for me. It doesn't work for most, but some like it. I'm not saying this is a great way to deal with ADHD. I'm saying it's the best way I deal with living with ADHD. If it works for you, fantastic. If not, nothings lost. Ther are so many tips and tricks out there; this is just the one that works for me.
There are a ton of topics in today's podcast. Well, maybe not a ton, but more than usual. There's getting material ready for the scriptwriter—work on the newsletter, and a promise to start talking visualization techniques tomorrow. Then there's the website I'm creating with Patti. See a ton of stuff to listen in on.
If you get nothing else out of today's podcast, think balance and timing. I think I can make all things happen with ADHD today if it's a good ADHD day. If it's a bad ADHD day and it's bringing you down, stop and smell the roses. Count to 100, 1,000 or even 100,000. Whatever it takes to catch a breath of fresh air, do it. Then start over.
I don't know about you, but when I'm bored and then out of the blue something stirs me up or gets me going, my ADHD ramps up like a fighter jet and fills me with ideas to consider. That's when I have to collect, deflect, and inspect to keep everything around me together. Those 3 words work for me. How about you? Write and let us know...Mark & Patti
I'm on a roll today about professionalism with the podcast, intros as they relate to this podcast, topics we discuss on this podcast, interviews we don't have or want, and anything else I can ramble on about. Plus, here's my email to give me more to think about... Mark & Patti
It does take loads of patience, but I promise it's worth every second of your time. Making things come together when starting isn't the easiest thing to do. There are ways to work it out, but it takes you to figure out what will work for you. I gave you a few ideas today, but they may not work for you. Try whatever you have to do and if these ideas help you get started, cool!
We started the other day talking about startups and what an exciting time it is. It can also be very frustrating, and that's when your ADHD may decide to take you on sideroads that don't help get you to the finish line. You need to be aware of those events and know when to change the tide to work for you.
