As tech companies shift towards innovations in artificial intelligence, companies like Amazon, Meta and IBM have announced tens of thousands job cuts. And this is having a trickle down effect on entry-level positions. We speak with Bibi Souza, a Vancouver software engineer and BC’s head of Women in Tech, about how the work of junior engineers has been on the decline with the adoption of AI tools that can code.
