Episode 4 The Alabama Axe Murderess Join Erica Kelley from Southern Fried True Crime as she takes a look at a case she finds beyond bizarre – the June 1959 torso murders in Northeast Alabama. That month, two male human torsos were found in Etowah and St. Clair counties. The arms and legs belonging to these torsos were found scattered in Calhoun County. The victims remained unidentified for weeks, and they turned out to be the Harper brothers. They lived in a trailer on a farm in Calhoun County – a farm owned by the family of Viola Hyatt, who eventually confessed to the gruesome murders and dismemberment. But, even after all these years, questions remain. Did Viola kill the Harper Brothers?
