Principle Three – Pay Attention to Your Results
Everything we do in business is data. Unfortunately, because we don’t always look at it that way, or we’ve never been taught how to look at it differently, we see much of what we do in business as personal.
The NO could mean so many things.
If you’re getting a lot of NOs, or your product isn’t selling, or no one is signing up for your course, then you are collecting data. And it’s time to look at that data to see what you can do differently.
Can you learn some new skills to get better at communication? Can you learn some techniques to get into a state of confidence before your next meeting? Can you ask the people who have purchased from you what they like about your product, or what else they would like to see from you? Can you change your prices? Can you learn from an expert or take a course or class on better practices for your industry?
Your results are telling you something. They are not telling you that you’re not good enough. They are telling you that you need to do something differently to get a different outcome.
Principle Four – Be Willing to Change Your Behavior
In your business, the more flexible you can be, the better. Be willing to say, I don’t know, or I need help. Be willing to change the product or the course. Be willing to do anything to get better results. Use the data you are collecting to do things differently.
Be willing to get up early and read more, be willing to buy that course and do the work, be willing to get feedback over and over again until you reach your goal.
Pull back from taking results personally, and be a cause, in other words, be responsible and take action. Take action on your mindset, your attitude, your thoughts and then take action to improve your business. Pay attention to the results and then be willing to change.
It’s all up to you and you have the power to create the business and the life that you desire.
