  • Season 02 - Ep. 48 - Euroreviews Monday (livestream): March 7th
[This episode was recorded live in our YouTube/Twitch stream on March 7th]

It's Monday and that means one thing, MONDAY NIGHT EURO REVIEW SHOW! This week there is no Tommi but don't worry, Ruairi is joined by friends of the show and hosts of The Hopeless Wanderer Pod, Adam Gipki and Andy McBride.

We start off by torturing Andy by talking about a slightly one sided Manchester Derby, praising Man City, destroying Man United, it was therapeutic. We then move on to Arsenal in great form and hunting down that 4th spot, how exciting are these young Gunners? And how worrying is the lack of depth? Regardless, we kick off the campaign for Saka young player of the year! We finish off the Prem with a few results that caught our eyes, including hammerings at Villa Park and Turf Moor as well as Brentford actually winning a game of football.

Then it's time to jump to Serie A, we take a look at a big night in Napoli, before analysing the race for the scudetto and the fight for survival, plus just how important is it that your team play entertaining football?

Catch us live every Monday on Twitch and YouTube from 20:00 CET.

  • Season 02 - Ep. 47 - From WHS to MSN feat. AFC Finners
Got that Friday feeling? We hope so! Because it's time for your weekly installment of English and Italian football news, Ruairi and Tommi take you through some cup action in both countries, some will live in the memory forever and some well... won't

We start with the seeming return of The Super League, that was quick! But is it any worse than UEFA's plans for the Champions League?

We then kick off some FA Cup action, of course starting with Spurs continuing to get battered everywhere they go, whilst we tip our hats to Chris Wilder and another fantastic job he is doing. Then it's down south as we go to Luton as a team with past glories take on a team whose glories may now be in the past. We discuss a great performance from The Hatters but of course the attention shifts to who will buy Chelsea? What is Roman's legacy? And is John Terry the thickest man in football? Finally for England there is just enough time for some Jamie Vardy love as he returns from injury to break records instantly!

Up next it's time for Coppa Italia, and after all of the love we gave it, it didn't give us much back. 1 goal over 180 minutes of football and two games we can't wait to forget, but a big weekend coming up in Serie A both at the bottom and top has us eager to discuss can Inter end their goal drought? And can Napoli keep their momentum going?

This week's Weekly Topic sees the return of friend of the show AFC Finners, and we are discussing an overlooked man in the history of English football, apart from in the black country maybe, Stan Cullis. Standing up to Nazis, captaining his country and creating the best team on the planet, this is a story that will blow your mind.

So sit back, relax and enjoy!

[This episode was recorded live on our YouTube/Twitch stream on February 28th]

It's Monday and it's time to talk football... mostly. Unfortunately we have to start with the invasion if Ukraine and how pathetic FIFA and UEFA's reactions have been, is Infantino worse than Blatter? Is it time for a change? We discuss it all.

Then it's time to talk about football, starting with possibly the best 0-0 in history as Liverpool collected their first trophy of the season and Van Dijk completed penalties. We then move to saying farewell to a legend as Bielsa is releived of his duties at Leeds and we discuss how he will be missed and what to expect from his replacement, we then have just enough time to cover the Premier League results.

Finally we have time to talk about why nobody seems to want to win Serie A, what is going wrong at Inter? How are Cagliari still surviving? Can Napoli keep their heads on hold on? We discuss it all!

Join us next week on YouTube and Twitch at 20:00 CET, but for now enjoy!

  • Season 02 - Ep. 45 - He swings his leg like a golf club
It's Friday and whilst football doesn't feel important right now, we hope we can distract you for an hour or so to catch up on your football fix!

Ruairi and Tommi start by reviewing all the Champions League action. Ahould Chelsea be planning for a future without Lukaku but with Havertz? Do Juventini find their own team entertaining? Are Manchester United the luckiest team to ever exist? And how far can Ajax go in this competition?

Then it's time to catch up on the midweek Premier League action, the relegation battle and title race have been blown open by Spurs within a week, Leeds look in trouble and Watford might be done, but there is still plenty of games left.

For our weekly topic we take some NBA inspiration as we plan a Serie A and Premier League All-Star Weekend, which players will be chosen to show off their skills and which league will win?

Finally there is just enough time for Ruairi and Tommi to quickly preview the weekend's Premier League, Carabao Cup and Serie A action, Enjoy!

  • Season 02 - Ep. 44 - Euroreview Mondays (livestream): February 21st
[This episode was recorded liveon our YouTube/Twitch stream on February 21st]

It's Monday, listeners, and it's time to review all of this weekend's action across Serie A and the Premier League!

Starting in Italy, what is going on at the top?! As Milan and Napoli pick up unexpected draws in Salerno and Cagliari, Inter collapse at home at the hands of professional giant killers Sassuolo, one of the teams with the most exciting numbers across Europe's top five leagues. The Nerazzurri seem lost, will they keep their Scudetto hopes alive?

Over in England, we discuss Manchester City's inferiority complex towards Tottenham, who come out victorious at the Etihad with some delightful Conte-ball, blowing the title race wide open. As Liverpool come back against Norwich with some Mané-Salah masterclass, we wonder... are Guardiola's boys gonna give in to the pressure? As for the top four, it's everything to play for, but Arsenal are surely making a case for being among the favourites up there...

Finally, we review this week's Champions League action! Hear, hear, we think an upset might just be around the corner...

    Tune in and enjoy!

  • Season 02 - Ep. 43 - The only Italian the French don't hate
It's Friday, ladies and gentlemen, and we've got a whole lot of football to review!

It's finally Champions League week again, and where could we start from if not Paris? It's a Marco Verratti masterclass and a Kylian Mbappé tribute to Thierry Henry, but we struggle to figure out what were Carlo Ancelotti's tactics going into this game... As Manchester City thrash Sporting away from home and RB Salzburg play the game of their lives against neighbours Bayern Münich, Inter Milan are held scoreless against Liverpool, who manage to put two in the back of the net in the final fifteen minutes of play. Are Inzaghi's big-game tactics to blame or are Inter simply not properly equipped to face such oppositions? But most importantly, is there any hope to overturn the score in the return leg at Anfield...? Tune in and let us know what you think!

Finally, we wrap up the episode with this weekend's upcoming Premier League and Serie A fixtures, as City take on Tottenham, Leeds host Manchester United, Juventus and Torino get ready for their derby and Inter Milan try to bounce back in the league in a crucial game against Sassuolo...

Have a good footballing weekend, everybody!

Next it's Premier League time, why is Maguire good? Who can escape relegation? Why has Ruairi REALLY been enjoying the last few weeks? All questions answered.

Finally we have just enough time to preview the Champions League action and Tommi is getting ready to witness Liverpool firsthand.

Thank God it's football, ladies and gents!

The AFCON is over, yet it feels like not much has changed in our beloved footballing countries of England and Italy... In Italy, it's Coppa Italia week and we ask ourselves: what the fuck is wrong with the organisation of this competition? Tommi takes us to the San Siro to review both Inter-Roma and Milan-Lazio, a grand total of 6-0 in the virtual game between Italy's two biggest cities- Milan and Rome. So, here we go... it's going to be a two-legged semifinal derby!
