The Ann & Phelim Scoop

Huge news - the WHO has flip-flopped on their support for restrictive mass lockdowns.  But is it already too late?  It's been seven months and countries throughout the world have been phasing in and out of brutal COVID restrictions.  Now - the WHO says -- oops, we may have gone too far.

Also on todays show we give you a shocking story from the New York Times.  You won't be surprised by their latest misstep.  In a series of stories about COVID fatalities, the New York Times highlighted the death of a teenage hockey star.  It turns out - it's highly unlikely that the young man passed of COVID.

We discuss all this and more on today's show!  Donate to ObamaGate the Movie: https://obamagatethemovie.com/

On today's Scoop we are joined by John McGuirk an Irish journalist who is covering one of the most fascinating and awful true crime stories that has happened recently in Ireland. Meet Barbie Kardashian - Ireland's "homicidal girl" according to John.  But as John reveals there is much more than meets the eye in this twisted story.

This one of the most compelling interviews we have done in recent time - its a true crime story but so much more - it really shows the intersection of horrible criminality, horrible politics and horrible media coverage and how it endangers everyone involved.

John McGuirk is the journalist who broke the compelling story and he is an editor at Gript.  You can read his work here: https://gript.ie/photo-barbie-kardashian-irelands-homicidal-girl/

Also on this week's episode we give you an update on Peter Strzok, Harvey Weinstein, and the possum in our backyard!  Enjoy!

President Trump isn't 'out of the woods' yet - but he's on his way to a full and speedy recovery.  The angry Twitter "blue check marks" are in an absolute fury as they see their hopes of a Trump-less utopia collapse for their eyes.  We bring you the latest on Trump's recovery and the powerful speech he delivered about his recovery.

In short, "Don't let COVID dominate your life."

Also on today's episode we give you an update on Ireland where things are getting worse on the lockdown front.  We also bring you an interesting story from the LA Times about a group of Hollywood strippers who are going back to work - virtually - during the pandemic.

Also on this episode we give you an update from California where Governor Gavin Newsom has introduced a new COVID re-opening metric that could set the state back further in the reopening process.  You won't believe this insane new rule that has its roots in critical race theory.

Andrew Cuomo will not give up in his efforts trying to convince Americans that he is the hero of the coronavirus story -but as you and I know - that could not be further from the truth! On today's episode we discuss his latest insanity.

We also bring you a funny (or not so funny) story from England where Boris Johnson's administration appears to be confused about their own lockdown rules which, if broken, result in hefty fines for the public.  If the leaders can't understand their own rules and regulations - maybe they should consider revising them!

Finally, we bring you a very important story about the culture of sadness.   Have we abandoned the idea of feeling "lonely" or "sad" in exchange for more clinical terms like "depression and anxiety?"  When did it become so taboo to feel lonely?  We do a deep dive on today's show!

On today's Daily Virus we have more fake news from the New York Times. In a recent news story, the Times alleges that the White House pressured the CDC to open schools across the country.  We explain what the Times 'conveniently. excluded from their article.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that grocery stores are beginning to stockpile resources again due to the threat of another lockdown and the upcoming holiday season.  Ireland has already proceeded into their second lockdown, now dividing the county up by region, and it appears that the UK is next on their way to another lockdown.  Will it reach the US?  Here in Los Angeles . . . we're not sure we are even out of the first lockdown!

Also on today's episode we discuss the children who are heading to work in countries like India.  Due to schools being closed from COVID, countries who have struggled recently with a history of child labor are now seeing their students sent off to work.  And the longer this madness continues - the harder it will be to get those students back into school.

Some new statistics out of Tennessee show that learning loss for students could be even worse than we imagined.  Literacy rates for third graders are estimated to drop over 50%! We discuss these shocking stats and the need to reopen schools again.  Also on the topic of schools, DC has a silly new rule for school reopenings that could prevent some students from getting in the classroom...

We also discuss the history of "panic" in America and the world about the spread of diseases.  We specifically take a look at HIV/AIDS and how when the disease first began to spread, the government launched a massive awareness campaign that pushed panic on the whole population when in reality only a specific population was likely to contract the condition.  Sound familiar?

Lastly, we finish up with a story out of the U.K. where a politician was caught not knowing his COVID facts on air.  You'll get a kick out of this one!
