Episode 9 – Hunger as a Force of Attraction

In the movie Scarface, Al Pacino’s character famously lays out a ‘blueprint for getting women’: first you get the money, then you get the power, and then you get the woman. It’s a paradigm that many men buy into. And to a degree, it’s true.

However, if you’re here, then you’re probably not interested in the kind of relationship that you need money or power to attain. You’re seeking abundance, yes, but of love, devotion and connection.

How do you create that? In today's episode, Jordan and Zan explain exactly how, while their conversations of late may not seem entirely relevant to the question of 'women' on the surface, contemplation, seeking out what has life for you, and moving towards it at all costs, are the qualities of being that women respond to.

Episode 4 - Relationships and the ‘Evolution of Consciousness’

A viewer asked for our thoughts on relationships and the ‘evolution of consciousness’. I have never heard Zan mention these words, so I was curious to get his take.

On my side of things, an ‘evolutionary relationship’ – a way of framing intimacy with my woman as a place where we challenge each other and grow – has long been a core value of mine. No-one will ever see you as your woman does: there’s no greater mirror to help you understand yourself.

Zan takes a different rhythm on things. Still, for him, the relationship is the foundation from which restoring beauty, in culture, will arise.

This podcast went long, so we’re splitting it into two. This week, we look at rescuing the good and the true from traditional relationships, and how we might slow down, and reorient our intimate lives, according to ritual, quality time, and the sacred.

Next week, we’ll unpack the outer edges of relationships: the hunt for blindspots, and the perils of too much desire for growth.

Episode 3 - Building Empathy for Women (When I’ve Been Hurt in the Past)

At some point, every man on this journey has to ask himself: do I truly like women?

Even the most ardent lover has a place in his heart where he’s been wounded and thus closes off. And if, on the whole, you don’t really like women all that much, it will be hard for your relationships to have much positive feeling.

“So how do I grow empathy for women,” asked one of our viewers recently, “especially after all I’ve seen?”

The reverse question is just as true: every time a woman asks how she can build empathy for men, our culture similarly shifts.

In today’s episode we’ll talk through three stages you can walk, which will increase your understanding of the opposite sex, open your heart, and shift the gracefulness in how you move through your relationships.

After all, a man who loves women is loved by women. There is no level of ‘skill’ or ‘technique’ you can acquire that will compensate for a true and natural love.

And if you’re listening to our message, it’s because, on some level – despite what so many others are out there saying – you know the fundamental goodness and beauty of the feminine spirit. And the truth latent in men.

These are good questions—but most people ask themselves the wrong ones. Their curiosity is laced with agenda: how can I swing this interaction to my advantage? How can I get what I want? When your questions are laced with strategy, you miss the other person’s deeper layers. And you’re prone to constant second-guessing: a life based in the head.

Zan has long been fascinated by motivation. Actors and screenwriters, too. For when you understand a person’s fundamental motivation, you understand the depth of their character. You know what drives the drama forward, and you’ll know what step they’re going to take next.

As we get older, the nuances of the ‘friend zone’ start changing. And we’re seeing a whole host of new, creative ways that men today are using to get some of their desires met by women, but without inspiring the women they really want to go all the way.

The general dynamic in the ‘friend-zone pro’ is the same as it always was: she holds a little more power over you than you hold over her. Though you’ll never likely admit it to each other, you both know… and it is this that stops her looking at you through eyes that might surrender.
