It was August 5, 2009, a day like any other for Dalia Dippolito. She got up early to go to the gym and let her husband, Mike, know that she'd pick him up a Starbucks on her way home. While she was at the gym working on her fitness, she got a call from Sgt. Ranzie, a detective with the Boynton Beach Police Department, who told her there was a situation at her home and she needed to get there right away. When Dalia arrived, she saw her house surrounded by police cars and yellow crime scene tape. Sgt. Ranzie told her that her husband had been murdered inside their condo, and Dalia fell into his arms, sobbing. However, everything about this entire scene was completely fake.
