When a baby is born, there’s often an excitement that comes with naming the chid. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and everybody in the family will want to make sure that this child carries at least of their names. Naming a child is an important part of African culture, and it varies across different cultures. There are ceremonies and rituals performed in the naming of a child for it is believed that the baby will embody this name.
