    No matter what size business you have or are working in, it should have a LinkedIn Business page.

  • Episode 580 – How To Increase Your Return On Relationship Investment By Interacting Human to Human

    There is a difference between in-person or face-to-face networking and online networking. When you meet in person, you usually have the attention of more than one person at a time. Online it's much more of a one-on-one relationship at a time.
    There is also a difference between social media and social networking. Social media is more about advertising, while social networking is more about building and growing relationships.
    H2h or Human to Human is at the core of relationship marketing. When people fill out a form on your website, that is just the beginning of the relationship process. You have to be willing to reach out to that person to continue the process by reaching out.
    Many businesses are focused on the ROI (return on investment) with online communications. I am suggesting that you focus on the Ror or Return on Relationship first. By focusing on the person first it can increase your chances of turning people into profits.
    This happens through:

    * Recommendations
    * Referrals
    * Advocates
    * Education
    * Listening

    In this episode, we will explore the connections between H2h and Ror, and how you can and should be leveraging your online connections and relationships!

  • Episode 578 – The Pu-Pu Platter And Creating Content Marketing Samplers

    I've been working on my new book “Toilet Paper Math”. Last week I talked about the three "P"s of Thought Leadership and I would be remiss if I did not interject some potty humor. That's why I am calling this a Pu-Pu Platter of content.
    A Pu-Pu Platter is a selection of Chinese food that lets you sample before you order the main course. You can do the same thing with your content. No matter how big or small, you can grab pieces that create appetizers. Then people can sample to get a taste of what you are presenting.You can create a content ecosystem by sampling parts of your blogs, webinars podcasts, video, presentation, and more, and creating bite-sized chunks that attract people to your main course.
    I will give you some great ideas about how you can incorporate and sample all of these:
    The Pu-Pu Platter

    * Live Presentations or Classes
    * Webinars
    * Video
    * Audio & Podcasts
    * Ebooks
    * Blogs
    * Infographics
    * Awareness Graphics

    In this episode, we dig into the sampler and how you can use each type of content to create marketing appetizers to attract your perfect customer to the main course... SALES!.

  • Episode 574 – LinkedIn Is The Best Way… To Follow The Bouncing Customers

    With business in flux, people are moving. They may be changing jobs either by choice or by economic conditions. Just last year, the average job tenure lasted 3-5 years but that may change more rapidly in the coming months and years.
    Contacts within companies you've been doing business with could be here today and gone tomorrow. In some cases, that may affect your sales as well.
    An easy way to stay on top of this is by simply sending an email. If it bounces, you know that a person has moved on or been replaced. How can you keep track of them in a quickly changing landscape?
    You have to find a way to stay in touch and periodically reach out to them to keep your lines of communication open for possible new opportunities. LinkedIn is a great tool to do that:

    *
    People often use personal email

    *
    It has tools to communicate outside of email

    * They may be more willing to chat outside of a new company email

    In this episode, we will discuss how you can use some simple tools and methods to help you follow the bouncing customers and be ready for new business opportunities when they arise.
