The Batman is a gritty superhero film that premiered on March 1, 2022. Directed by Matt Reeves, this movie stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell.

Basically, Batman must team up with Catwoman to fight corruption in Gotham, as a Zodiac Killer-style Riddler murders victims with dumb puns. In terms of genre, it's bat-milk blend of superhero, noir, and thriller. Picture a guy in a tactical bat costume standing in the middle of a brutal crime scene, as forensic techs collect evidence. That's an actual scene in this movie. That's basically this entire movie, in essence.
