Thanks google docs, I’m sure Griff wrote something interesting, but instead this is what you get. They gather in a place, they fill a space, they are words, they are no such words. Eternity of days grind lead us to a hindrance of once belonging as our forefathers look on at the imagination of machinists. Forgive those who hark of yesteryear, as the hungry only feed at night, in Laura’s house making statements of bluster. Lorem ipsum this should be, nonsense we draw for ears.
- show notes in the style Burial Beer Co.
OMGZORZ remember when people said stuff like that? Kind of? Not really? OK whatever. Well we’ve got more stuff this week and it’s full of important beer news and also some important happenings in the world of international basketball. The guys answer some emails and talk about the important happenings on Discord as per usual (get on there gang!). Griff gets smoky for his birthday, Tony goes full adjunct lager, and we extoll the virtues of the underappreciated citra hop. Have you heard of this citra before??? Then the big news that EVERYONE has heard about, Hard Mountain Dew is real, but will it be spectacular? Only time will tell (???) Finally, a new round of the newly officialized “News the Game” that puts Tony’s money at stake against some poor helpless nuns. Alright, there it is some more content!!! Bye!!!!
Hello...I am doing the coffin dance right now but in a very sad or happy way??? Are they sad or happy? Not sure. On today’s show, Griff and Tony spoil the result of USA vs. Australia. Not in basketball, just overall actually. Tony’s “beer” of the week elicits some discussion of illegal behavior from Griff, and then some illegal behavior from Tony. The statute of limitations has expired I think so that’s okay. Then the guys do some beer news that no one who even thinks about beer could get away from this week, including some newly murdered beer brands. At the end, they of course played a fun game of Scrabble. Just kidding! They played another round of “Two Brews and a Lie” about “American Retro Beers” which anyone who lives in America will probably figure out pretty quickly. Alright gang, see ya later!
Ooooh have we got a barnburner for you today! Wooooo weeee! Well, now what happened today hmm? Alright, I can’t pull that off much longer so we’re just gonna quit it. On today’s Beer Engine Pod, Tony gives us the weekly health update (aka proof of life) that we are actually all here for. Griff is dodging the COVID hot zone but he’s not sure how or why yet. Then the guys breakdown the beer to horniness to hotness diagrams that have been popping up on the internet this week. You won’t want to miss that! And then a special surprise for the listeners, as Kelly returns to detail the inner workings of “Seltzer Bracket 2021” and officially crown a winner. Finally, Griff puts the team of Tony and Kelly to the test with the first (and last) edition of “Hard or Soft.” Welp, gotta go! See you later!!
First! That's what people say when they are the first to comment on Donald Trump's posts I think but, not me. I'm essentially commenting on every episode we've ever done but just here in the giant inline thread of all 65 episodes or whatever. I win! On today's show, an in depth recap of many things - the NBA Finals? The Las Vegas bottle shop hierarchy? Blackjack at the Sunset Station? Boston Beer's sales splits? Sure, some of that. But I think we were funny at one point, too. Also we played another round of Untrappd that left Tony somewhere between Lake Monona, Lake Mendota and a cherry kringle, if you catch my drift. Ok see ya later dere.
Beer Engine: New Vegas! That also could have been the title. Or something else that has anything to do with maybe coming back after a couple weeks off? Whatever. Well our Summer Vacay is over :( back to the podcast mines to grind out some more content. Put your hardhat on Tony! Today instead of Gypsum we managed to pull up some fun “sporps” talk about basketball, maybe some of the footy. You know, normal stuff! Griff’s Horus stash full of SWAG and a very emotional “Lager of the Week” are both discussed. Also, Tony becomes an anti-....WAXer and also drinks one of his favorite barleywines EVER! Also included: mega saison nerds (not us but kind of us), the revenge of the glass whalez, and Tony shows off his fireworks knowledge. OK! Too many words! See ya!
Omg gotta write the show notes from my bed. Hello! It's another show from these two guys! On today's episode, a lot of basketball stuff as Tony mourns the beginning of the end for the Sydney Sixers. Griff brings his Globetrotters conspiracy theory to the pod (and 8chan??). And the guys are back on their bullshit with lagers and stouts for days. Then, a new "Two Brews and a Lie" with a lot of words and a lot of stuff comes along. Will it beat up Tony like John Collins and Clint Capella beat up Ben Simmons? We'll see!!
Damn we just did this show and I already forgot what it was about!? No! Well in the first 20 minutes we were all over the damn place and I think Tony went on about Aussie gas stations. Then we did some NBA and betting chit chat. Cool! Also a big Hyper Beer Nerd Dork Shit News (™) segment about the end of beer. It's all over folks, pack it in. At the end, Tony gets caged up in the circus and has to play an all time difficult game to free himself. Good luck dude!!!
Ohhhhhhhhhh I'm tired. I moved out of my house yesterday and, wow, even when you pay soekihe to do it, it's tiring. Also the guys who came by may have been a syndicate outfit. We'll see. On today's show, we talked about Australian gin and tonic for too long before Kelly hops in to give is the expert's opinion on some new seltz flaves. Then, we throw a tricky game and Tony and Kelly where they have to pick what year something happened in? Geez good luck! Hope you don't totally have an insane meltdown. OK byeeeee.
Oh man, the fellas have survived for another week, which means you, the lucky listener, receive one (1) additional week of wonderful, useful beer content. On today’s show, Griff tediously runs down the most painful of details of his drive across the nation - you know things like what car he drove and the route he was driving and the cost of various tolls. Super! Also, the guys talk about some of the latest cool and nice things on the Beer Engine Pod Discord server! Finally, a return for “Two Brews and a Lie” as Griff tries to bend Tony’s mind so badly that he develops Dissociative Personality Disorder. You’ll have to listen to find out if it worked! K ENJOY!
