  • 545: Middlesbrough v Brentford Pre-Match Mini-Pod From The Pub
Brentford travel to Boro for their first away game of the season.
After the madness of the transfer window - signing a good 8 first team players or so - it’s hard to know exactly who will be starting for The Bees.
Billy Grant and Dave Lane chatted to Dave and Matty from Boro Red Army to get the lowdown of Boro’s transfer window. And also looking forward to the match at the weekend

  • 544: BONKERS! Beesotted's Deadline Day Podcast
The Beesotted crew called a sickie from work and convened at One Over The Air to talk live as the transfer window slowly and eventually closed. The headline was that Said Benrahma stays a Bee, however, there seems to be no new number nine to replace Neal Maupay, who left for Brighton… Marcus Forss maybe your time has come. Here’s what we thought as the deadline unfolded, as well as Bees fans comments on Twitter.
In the pub were: Billy The Bee,  Dave Lane, Savvy Bee, Robin Hood and Katie Bee.

  • 543: Maupay Out. Mbeumo. and Yearwood In. What Else Can We Expect This Window? - Beesotted Lovesport Radio Show 5th Aug
Neal Maupay has left the building - making the move to Premier League Brighton.

On the flip side, Brentford signed a few more players - picking up Bryan Mbeumo (Bryan from Troyes) and Dru Yearwood (from Southend) - as well as Joel Valencia last week - to bring The Bees signing tally to eight players.

With only four days to go till the transfer window closes SHUT, we discuss more potential signings. And departures.

The Beesotted crew of Billy The Bee Grant and Greville the Water Man alongside Matt Beadle look back to the disappointing loss against Birmingham at the weekend.

And we hear Thomas Frank's thoughts on the match and how he though his debutants played.

  • 542: Brentford 0 Birmingham City 1 - post-match podcast from the pub
The new season is here. Brentford welcomed Birmingham City to Griffin Park on a very warm summers day - the first game in their final season at Griffin Park

And it was one of those games. The Bees had Birmingham on the ropes for the majority of the first half. But a wonder header from Pederson - their only shot of the game - sealed all three points of the Blues who quite literally battoned down the hatches - defending deep and in huge numbers.

We spoke to fans in the pub after the match

And there was plenty to discuss.
Transfers. Brentford have delved into the transfer market once again - signing Polish player of the year - Joel Valencia. This is on top of the other five first-teams signings this summer
We discussed the ins and outs this window - and pontificated on whether the interest in Maupay, Benrahma and Watkins was something to worry about. Or did the crew think Brentford were able to ride the wave.
Plus the Beesotted crew looked forward to the first game of the season against Birmingham. And looked back to previous first games of the season - good and bad.
